World As One should score in this maiden hurdle on debut for Willie Mullins (SR 42%) yard. The Henry de Bromhead horse probably wants further judged on point success and pedigree. Patrick Mullins (SR 60%) rides. The yard had a convincing and impressive bumper newcomer the other day. This is a much easier contest than that. Cost €92,000 and is by Arc winner Waldgeist. Likely to enter the winners' enclosure at the first time of asking.

Up The Anti returns from a break and may be intended to ensure a strong pace for Tony Carroll's other runner, Serenity Dream. Serenity Dream was sent off 5-4F but never got involved in a race with a soft pace, which was won by Em Four last time. Up The Anti was a 50-1 course-and-distance winner in December and is now back to that winning mark. Luke Morris is booked to ride. Both of the Vale of Evesham trainer's runners are of interest in this competitive Class 5 sprint.

Palazzo Persico remains of interest, especially because this quite marked drop in trip (10f to 7f) could suit, judged on breeding (by the sprinter Profitable). Has run prominently on two of the last four occasions here at Dundalk and kept on to the finish. Won three times on the all-weather for Ed Dunlop previously (at 1m and 1m2f, admittedly). Reese Holohan returns to the saddle, and this excellent 16- or 17-year-old apprentice is worth his 4 lb claim. He has a +£69 career record to £1 stakes on all runners. Denis Hogan trained, James MacAuley owned.

Finished fourth, not beaten far, in a muddling sort of race, but I still suspect that this Jukebox Jury, a 6yo trained by Kim Bailey with Mat Nicholls, will come on for that outing. Tom Bellamy (SR 33%) is a good jockey, is in form, and rides.

Strange race. Just six runners and quite a difference in handicap weights allotted. It's Not Over Yet returns from an absence of 134 days but receives over a stone at the weights from three of these. None of the horses are in winning form. Twice a winner over hurdles off a lower mark, but at a 3-mile trip. Only market movement of any note. Runs for Oliver McKiernan and is pretty unexposed considering this is the first time over fences in a handicap chase.

A change to blinkers was given as the reason for his improvement when scoring in a 2-mile handicap hurdle here in February. Going well here but faded late in another handicap hurdle last time out. Peppers Corner is fairly unexposed in this handicap hurdle on what looks a fairly tame card overall at Limerick. No show in four maiden hurdles, but a point winner previously makes her handicap debut now, and the bookies are taking no chances by cutting the odds of this Edward Power-trained mare. The Thurles trainer shows a 17% strike rate for the season and had a 10-1 handicap hurdle winner with their sole recent runner.

16-1 winner of a Class 5 handicap hurdle on debut for current stable of James Moffatt in August 2023 off OR85. Now down to a mark of 71. Jockey William Maggs (SR 23%) is in form at least. Won two low-grade races on the AW in the latter stages of his term with Alan King. Seven-year-old. 40-1 second at Hexham last June was the only real recent form of note. Pulled up last time over 3 miles+ and stewards did inquire into the running. This is a hopeful play, but a return to winning form is not impossible.

Private Larry had his third outing in maidens very recently (two weeks ago) and now moves into handicaps. This is a pretty open race. Back up to ten furlongs on heavy ground should suit the Inns Of Court colt out of a New Approach mare. Trainer Alan McIntyre's record overall is passable (8% winners-to-runners career SR). Strutter is a tempting bet at 5-1 for Willie Mullins (SR 33%) and Paul Townend (SR 43%). This promising type won on his first handicap hurdle attempt for Nicky Henderson, transferred to Ireland, and promptly scored on debut for this yard in December 2024 but wasn't seen until sent over fences earlier this month. Decent market support at Leopardstown but he ran too keenly from the front under Danny Mullins. There was still something to like about the enthusiasm with which he attacked his fences. Headgear attached now. I could see him winning this quite easily actually. 5-1 looks a good price.

Weak contest and another one where Gordon Elliott's selection gets the vote. Decent form for Liam O'Brien, including a maiden hurdle win and a handicap hurdle second. Strongly backed and sent off a 15-8JF on first start for Gordon Elliott in a quite competitive 12-runner handicap hurdle at Fairyhouse last time. Heavy ground may have been the undoing of the Workforce 7yo there, and the extra two furlongs will help. Might well land the odds on second stable start in an ostensibly easier race.

That's frustrating. I just took odds of 18.0, and Red Charlie will likely start much shorter than the 25-1 suggested here. He hasn't been out for 493 days. He was formerly with Emmet Mullins but showed promise in two handicap runs at six and seven furlongs. He has decent American breeding.
