The early betting market has taken to Ballintogher whose promising form is preferred to Washington Street (now zero wins from 10 runs). Ballintogher ran second of 12 at Navan 6f nine days ago, beaten by a head, on first outing for Daniel J Murphy stable. Decent form in maidens including 3rd of 21 at the Curragh 6f prior to that. Just four starts so far. Coming in for market support. A bet at odds of 9-4.

It's a rare fortnight in which Ruth Carr doesn't have a winner. They are going close enough. Swiss Ace returns from quite a lengthy break of 151 days. This 7yo by Kingman last had a holiday between June and November 2024 and ran fourth of nine over 7 furlongs at Newcastle, beaten 3 lengths off a mark of 79, back then. Runs today (Newcastle, 7f) off OR66. Paul Mulrennan (SR 17%) booked. Worth a shout.

Lots of pace can be predicted here and that could suit Distillate. He might well not start, given this is a day following his decent effort over five furlongs at the Curragh. Wasn't much fancied in the betting market for yesterday's outing so perhaps this is the plan. Adam Caffrey (SR 15%) rides for Ade McGuinness who does well at Dundalk. Course and distance winner off a mark of 67 in 2023. 2 wins from 14 AW starts. Winner at Laytown in September off OR53. Should be capable from this mark of 57. Looks to offer the best value at current prices with race likely to suit.

Hard to oppose Bowman here. Rated 60 in a 0-60 and this 7yo by Lawman who has been with a few yards over the years looks the best horse in the race. Charlie Byrnes trained and Colin Keane is booked. 4 from 27 for other yards on the all-weather. 7 furlongs is his trip. Good third on penultimate start and unfortunate last time (both better races than this). Well drawn in stall 6. Slight worry about how some of the stable's runners have been performing but the obvious selection here.

There's a number to consider here but a general reading of collateral form puts Dancing Saxon in front. Ran ok in a strong sales race at Naas on penultimate start. Fourth of 14 (well backed, 5-1) in a good maiden here last time over six furlongs, racing a little too wide. Better drawn in stall 4 today. Good staying pedigree (by Saxon Warrior out of dual Derby winning Australia) suggests seven furlongs will suit. Has experience of the all weather which is a further asset. Dylan Browne McMonagle rides for Joseph O'Brien. It's a deep race but this filly looks the likeliest winner.

Whether he landed a gamble for connections is unknown, but the booking of 5lbs claimer Paddy Harnett (SR 20%) to offset some of the handicapper's 11lbs rise looks shrewd. Conditions suit again today. The manner of the last victory in a more competitive race than this (over 1m6f actually, so this is a slight drop in trip) suggests there might be more to come. King Bob is of minor interest. Second start in as many days for Irish Wells 4yo trained by Philip Rothwell. A little market movement and, still relatively unexposed in handicap company, could progress.

Dance To The Music was unlucky in a Canadian Grade 1 last time, having to be snatched up early in the race. Winner of her two starts in this country, both at Newmarket, including a Grade 3 over seven furlongs on the July course. Godolphin-bred Dubawi filly, a half-sister to the useful Space Blues. Conditions ideal. William Buick rides for trainer Charlie Appleby (SR 31%).

Four times a winner on the Flat, 7yo Derry Lad has shown promise over hurdles before and looks well handicapped on these terms for Emmet Mullins (SR 18%) yard. Forecast price 4-1 but opened at a short 6-4 suggesting he's fancied to win.

Lukers Tipple ran a thoroughly decent race in a competitive Listed handicap hurdle at Listowel last time. A repeat of that effort in a pretty weak maiden hurdle on the second start for Gavin Cromwell should be enough to see this 4yo into the winner's enclosure.

Calendar Girl won a strong sales race worth £300,000 at Doncaster last time and that form has been franked by the likes of Brussels and Jel Pepper since. Callum Rodriguez (SR 20%) rides for Owen Burrows. Form figures of 121 include a comfortable maiden success at Newbury on debut followed by an odds-on defeat at Epsom. By Advertise, the filly should stay seven furlongs and appeals as a bet at 4-1.

A strict reading of collateral form (using Aiden O'Brien's Kansas as the yardstick) puts Brussels in front. This Wootton Bassett improved on previous form to run second in the Group 1 Middle Park Stakes at Newmarket last time. Was in front a furlong out and this drop back in trip should help. Still ran a bit green last time out so there could be further progress.
