Not 16 years old (nice idea) but a long time student of horse racing form. Second-guessing the intentions of trainers is often my approach. I like to bet horses at big prices.

Wonder Spirit runs off a basement handicap mark of 47 here. Well drawn in stall 2, this 6yo by Charm Spirit has run just once in 28 starts but there have been a lot of decent placed efforts. Has shown a lot of early pace in the past as when second on two occasions at Dundalk this year. Beaten by quite a way at Tipperary last time but could run a big race at 50-1. Siobhan Rutledge claims 3lbs in this big field, open looking handicap over nine furlongs.

Obelix is back from wind surgery for Julie Camacho. Sea The Stars 4yo who has run with promise in 11 races (only a winner once; second in a Class 2 at Newmarket last year). Has been disappointing in two starts since joining this yard from John & Thady Gosden. I thought he had excuses last time when failing to get a decent run for traffic at Newcastle. Following wind surgery now, Obelix tackles a big race once again.
