Hardy Buck

Daily Racing

50 WIN

First start for the stable of Max Comley (profitable to follow this season). Has shown form in the past and has dropped to a very workable handicap mark of 74, allotted 10-02 (low weight) in this 0-100 handicap hurdle for amateur jockeys. Luke Scott (SR 29%) rides and shows nice recent stats.

Keep Running

Daily Racing

50 WIN

Keep Running runs for an in-form yard of Warren Greatrex (SR 29%). Three wins from 11 starts over fences. Two wins last winter before running second in a Class 2 at Kempton off this mark of OR129, then trying Listed grade at Punchestown. A good run over hurdles last month sets the seven-year-old up for this. Admittedly high in the handicap, but certainly one to consider at this Class 3 level.

No Drama This End

Daily Racing

50 WINAThis tip was used on Horse Racing 4Fold Acca.

Backed as if defeat is out of the question, No Drama This End is added to my Friday portfolio. Impressive winner over 2m 5f for Paul Nicholls at Cheltenham in a Grade 2 Novices' Hurdle last month. Drops a furlong now, soft ground again, and looks a very useful sort.

Doyen Quest

Daily Racing

50 WINAThis tip was used on Horse Racing 4Fold Acca.

I'm a bit of a Doyen Quest fan, having seen him run away with a 2m5f handicap hurdle at Cheltenham early last season. Things haven't been straightforward since, but he was a ten-length winner over Quebecois last time out in his second chase victory from four starts over fences for Dan Skelton. Not top-rated on official figures and does have a 3 lb penalty in this company, but for me brings the most potential. Seven years old.

Moroder

Daily Racing

50 WIN

Moroder clearly hasn't been quite pitch-perfect in the last two runs but is hard to rule out. He has been a very profitable horse to follow over fences. Six wins from 24 chase starts include two Grimthorpe Chase (Class 2) successes at Doncaster (33-1 in March 2025, 3m2f, Gd). He won over near 3m6f but was disqualified at Carlisle (Class 3, May 2025, GS). Former Bet365 Gold Cup at Sandown 3m5f second. Down to his last winning rating of OR125 in a tight handicap. Out of form when last seen and now 11yo, but he does have conditions to suit in quite a tight handicap at Class 3 level.

Knight Templar

Daily Racing

50 WIN

Knight Templar got involved late on in a 4yo handicap hurdle at Exeter, and it wasn't a race that suited hold-up tactics. Showed significant improvement from the previous start, and there could be more to come. Winner over hurdles at Kempton a year ago and twice a Flat winner for this small yard of Robert Stephens (career strike rate of 10%) in staying handicaps. A possible in this Class 4 handicap hurdle.

Inishmot Prince

Daily Racing

50 WINNAP

Inishmot Prince is napped because the seven-year-old is a very big price at 25-1. Nine wins from 33 all-weather starts is a strong record. Was keeping on over five furlongs and probably wants six furlongs nowadays. Third off OR80 over course and distance back in April. Handicap mark dropped a further two pounds to OR66 here. Inishmot Prince could well come good again soon.
17:30 5:30 Dundalk

Timetravel

Daily Racing

50 WIN

Probably not the strongest of maidens. I don't know what John Murtagh's record is with newcomers, but Timetravel is tried at 16-1. Half-brother to an AW winner in France (they are out of an unraced Galileo mare). Timeform reckons 'bred for longer trips' but starts out at 1 mile and is only a two-year-old. Was a very cheap buy, but he is by Time Test. Chance pick.
18:00 6:00 Dundalk
Daler was visually quite taking when scoring over course and distance on the penultimate start. Up eleven pounds for that win, Daler started 6-4 favourite last time over seven furlongs but got away tardily and was making up ground late. A horse called Little Empire (not running here) was three lengths third to Instant Appeal but beat Daler last time. Daler, the three-year-old trained by Ger Lyons, looks the more progressive of the two and appeals at 3-1. This isn't an exact science, I find! Colin Keane rides.

Profit Surge

Daily Racing

50 WINAThis tip was used on Horse Racing 4Fold Acca.

A pretty average 0-60 handicap and Profit Surge, making the first start for trainer Gerard Keane (jockey Colin Keane up), here gets the vote. Coming in for strong support. Racing Post has the 4yo filly in the forecast at 14-1. I missed that :) Showed minor promise in AW and turf handicaps for the former yard of John Geoghegan. More is perhaps expected on first start for six months, with a new stable and a 5 lb lower handicap mark of OR49.
