Long odds-on, but Mydaddypaddy made a nice impression when running out a fairly easy winner of a maiden hurdle at Carlisle quite recently. Travelled well and was only nudged out to win. Eleven-length bumper success before that. Choice of 12 of 13 pro tipsters, and the Skeltons look to have a nice prospect here.

Chicago Storm won two handicap hurdles off OR98 and OR108 in January and March this year. Just one chase start came when fifth of nine last month and, weakening two out at Wincanton, could build on that. Runs off a chase mark of OR108, but Robbie Davies' 7-pound claim will be useful in that regard. Trainer Daisy Hitchins' string is running quite well.

An interesting Class 4 bumper to close Ludlow's Wednesday card. Hey Flint is one of the few with experience under Rules. She ran prominently in a Class 2 mares' bumper at Aintree but faded in October. She started at odds of 16-1. She will have to improve on that form, but it's plausible, and this is an easier grade of race. Sam Twiston-Davies rides for father Nigel and brother Willy, I think.

Fifty Nifty was a winner of a Class 2 handicap at Newmarket over 7f early in his career with Tom Clover. He had a high handicap mark since then. He is just a four-year-old who showed improvement on his second start for Mick Appleby at Newcastle over 7f in recent weeks. His handicap mark drops a further three pounds to OR81. Hector Crouch (SR 24%) is an unusual jockey booking for this stable. He drops both in trip to six furlongs and in grade to a Class 4. Could be up to this.
