Manaccan appeared to be coming back to form when running best race since return from injury at Ascot last time (5f, 4th/10, beaten under two lengths). Clifford Lee replaces Hollie Doyle in the saddle. Winner at Listed and Group 3 level in 2022. Well drawn (low) in stall 1 in a fairly open looking Nunthorpe.

This is only a maiden, so no previous winners in the field. Feasible improvement to come from Pinatubo colt Explosive Finnish, who ran green when fifth of six at Nottingham early in July but wasn't beaten overly far after a slow start. Has had time to develop since and is interesting now upped in grade.
