Four starts over hurdles for the 4yo, one win, three decent runs in defeat. Not disgraced in a Grade 3 handicap last time out, when racing from 9lb out of the handicap. She likes the better ground and is now running in a class 5 handicap against older runners, but she does receive an 8lb age allowance. Top yard/jockey, more to come from this one.

Nicely bred 3yo filly. Three career runs. She was a runner-up two weeks ago in a maiden race, bumping into a smart looking winner. No answer in the final 2f but she did match the winner for the first mile and still saw the race out, in that strongly run contest. She should get a more suitable pace in this low grade handicap and she could prove to be better than her opening mark of 60.

A mixed bag from the 4yo filly last year but showed ability on a going day. She is a previous C/D winner. Her best RPR rating came on fast ground when second over this C/D, that form boosted by the 1st, 3rd and 4th. Improvement possible after 7 months off the track. On a handy looking mark and the last four runners sent out by the yard have all finished a close second.

The 6yo should be sharper after a return run two weeks ago, under an amateur rider who hasn’t ridden a winner under rules, so it was more of a fitness run. Lightly raced last year, he did run well in two races after his return run last year. On a much reduced mark now, plus another 5lb taken off by the apprentice. Big chance if he can return to that level of form, and races don’t get much weaker than this 45-49 rated handicap.
