violets's Tips

27th July 2024
11:00 Gwangju FC v Suwon FC

Gwangju FC & Yes

Result and BTTS

50 WIN

Suwon is a tough opponent, as they have got 11 points in their last 5 games. Gwangju should still be the better team, and at home they should win.
11:30 Incheon Utd v FC Seoul

Draw

50 WIN

The draw looks interesting here, as both these teams aren't convincing. Seoul should be doing much better with their players, but just haven't been able to stay consistent. Incheon can defend a point here.
13:15 1:15 Clairefontaine

Sea Theme

Daily Racing

50 WIN

Sea Theme is going to Clairefontaine as Haggas probably thinks this horse needs soft ground. This looks like a pretty weak finish, so she'll be competitive.
14:00 Argentina Olympic v Iraq Olympic

Argentina Olympic

50 WIN

Argentina lost their first game in incredible fashion, but should bounce back here. They have the better players, and need a win here.
14:25 2:25 Ascot

Friendly Soul

Daily Racing

50 WIN

Friendly Soul his run was too bad to be true at York. Not that the jockey give her a good ride. His form 2nd time out still is strong, as she beat Kalpana, who is a strong horse. Gosden is very capable of making his horses bounce back.
14:40 2:40 York

Ferrous

Daily Racing

25 EW

Ferrous ran in one of the most competitive handicaps of the year, but couldn't really show everything he had. He was squeezed almost the entire last 2 furlongs. His draw here probably isn't ideal, but York seems to be the perfect track for this runner.

Trefor

Daily Racing

50 WIN

Trefor is an improving 3yo, which has now on a hat trick. His last run at Newmarket was extra eye-catching form me, as it seemed like he didn't really like the rising ground at the end, but made a lot of ground on the flat 1/2 furlong after. York should suit this horse much better.
15:00 3:00 Ascot

Fresh

Daily Racing

25 EW

This race is incredibly difficult. I spent a good amount of time thinking about it. Fresh always runs well on fast ground, and his latest run confirms that 7 furlongs is ideal. There isn't much pace in this race, which makes it so difficult to predict, but the near-side always seems to be the place to be.
15:15 3:15 York

Alflaila

Daily Racing

50 WINNAP

I see that many people are on Passenger, which is understandable he has been very good whenever Sir Michael Stoute has run him. I still strongly think Alflaila will take this. His run at Ascot really made me think that he needed that run, even though this horse is known for being best fresh. He looked a very dangerous contender 2 furlongs out, but just looked tired quickly. He won this race last year in a similar tactical small field.
15:40 3:40 Ascot

Middle Earth

Daily Racing

25 EW

The big 3 in this race all can have different cases, but I don't mind going for a bigger price. The King George has been run at an incredible pace in the last 2 years, and this year doesn't seem to be an exception. Hans Andersen will likely bullet to the lead, which I don't think will be ideal for Auguste Rodin. Middle Earth is a horse which stays 1m6f, so that will be the key.
16:15 4:15 Ascot

Chancellor

Daily Racing

50 WIN

Chancellor was very impressive on debut, which everyone saw. I do like him to win this as the Coventry hasn't worked out well. Which makes Al Qudra look weaker here. The debut of this horse being 16 days ago, is concerning, but Gosden wouldn't run him if he wasn't ready.
20:00 Japan Olympic v Mali Olympic

Japan Olympic

50 WIN

Japan looked very strong in their opening game, but against a weaker opponent. Mali played well, but still shouldn't be at Japan their level.
