Persica has won 2-2 here, and both wins were at this meeting in the past two years. He should come on nicely from his reappearance at Newmarket seven weeks ago. The stable is in good form, and he looks to have been primed for this again this year. There could well be a contested lead with a subsequent pace collapse. Last year, Persica raced out the back, and if he adopts those tactics again today, the race could be run to suit him. At around 3/1, he rates the Nap of the day.

Legacy Link just sets the standard on adjusted RPRs after she landed the Musidora on re-appearance. She showed a good attitude once she was joined by the runner-up at York and stayed on well through the final furlong. She is superbly bred, being by Dubawi out of a full sister to Frankel. She could improve further for the step up in trip. She breezed around the track in recent weeks and looked to handle it fine. The Gosdens have a good record in the race, and at around 3/1 she looks the value bet.
