Brace yourself! The Transformers slot is about Brosephine, a chemically-enhanced lunatic that dominates the women’s league of powerlifting. Controversial and brash, the transgender character is bound to offend plenty!

In the base game, you’re taken to a gym where Brosephine obviously trains. Muscly and holding up a barbell loading with plates, Brosephine is wearing a pink, glittery top and a full face of make-up. In the background you’ll see a bench, razors, hormone injections, tubs of protein and other gym equipment. The 80s style soundtrack sets the tone.

On the reels, you’ll see L, G, B, T and Q card-value symbols which is damn-right cheeky. The mid-value symbols include shaving foam and razors, a half-eaten banana with lipstick marks on it and hormone pills. The high-value symbols include a competition pass, Brosephine’s hand with a dumbbell and Brosephine in all her/his glory: the latter is the best-paying symbol awarding 4 times your total bet for 5 in combination.

Juiced Cascades

When you land a winning combination, the Juiced Cascades feature is triggered. New symbols then drop in from above to fill the remaining positions in the hope you land another winning combination.

Ultra Progressive Multipliers

Ultra Progressive Multipliers will appear on any spin and award a win multiplier that ranges from 1x to 500x. The multiplier level increases with boosted Fluid Wilds and cascades. At the start of each new base game spin, the multiplier level resets to 1x but carries across to the Transcending Free Spins feature.

Fluid Wilds

Fluid Wilds will appear, on reels 2 through 5, with a boost value of between 1 and 10x: the boost value increases the Ultra Progressive Multiplier level. The max boost value immediately increases the level to 500x and they substitute for all symbols except the Medal Scatter.

Mystery Spin

Randomly on any spin, the Mystery Spin feature can be activated. This guarantees at least 1 Crotch Mystery symbol which then reveals the same symbol.

Wicked Spin

Appearing on reel 5 only, the Wicked Spin feature triggered on a non-winning spin to reveal an instant payout between 20 and 200 times your total bet.

Transcending Free Spins

Finally, 3 or more Medal Scatters will trigger the Transcending Free Spins feature: 3, 4 or 5 scatters will award 8, 10 or 12 free spins respectively. During the feature, the Ultra Progressive Multiplier level doesn’t reset and can only increase. Also, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5 scatters will reward you with 1, 2, 4, 8 or 12 extra free spins, with no limits.

For non-UK players, there is a Bonus Buy option which costs 70 times your total bet. There is also an Ante Bet option which costs 1.5 times your total bet and doubles your chances of triggering the free spins.

Transformers is a controversial slot game that is based on the transgender Brosephine competing in a powerlifting competition. It’s unapologetically loud and brave with 25,000 x bet max wins up for grabs.

Where do I begin? The Transformers slot makes quite the statement with a controversial theme. Based on the chemically-enhanced Brosephine, what is for certain is that Wicked Games isn’t playing it safe.

In terms of the gameplay, it focuses on cascades which boost the Ultra Progressive Multiplier up to 500x. With Fluid Wilds helping you achieve a higher multiplier, Wicked Games has thrown in mystery symbols and cash bonuses for good measure.

In the Transcending Free Spins feature, the base game’s multiplier is carried through and can only increase during the feature. With 25,000 x bet max wins, Transformers does some heavy lifting to make it stand out on the max win potential front.

Admittedly, I did think this game was risky from Wicked Games but it pokes fun at society’s attitude to the subject matter rather than at transgender people. What is for certain is that it’s bold, loud and somewhat shameless which will divide many people. Are Wicked Games going down a similar route to Nolimit City and Shady Lady? Only time will tell.
