The Crypt 2 slot begins with 6 reels, 4 rows and 4,096 ways to win. Winning combinations are created when 3 or more matching symbols appear from left to right, on adjacent reels and beginning from the leftmost reel. Only the highest payout per way to win will be awarded.

With a horror/rock theme, The Crypt 2 slot follows on from the first outing. Based on dead music legends that refuse to fall, this sequel takes place at a cemetery at night which is creepy and dark.

The Crypt 2 comes with cascading reels, expanding xNudge Wilds with an increasing multiplier, xWays for more ways to win (up to 531,441) when combined with unlocked positions (by Forsaken Fingers) and both Eye Collector and Spider symbols that increase the total win multiplier. In the Entombed Spins feature, all base game mechanics/features combine: collect gems to win more free spins and increase the number of eyes that can be collected. Unlocked positions and the win multiplier are persistent too.

Cascading Reels

When a winning combination appears, the Cascading Reels feature activates. All winning symbols explode and are removed from the reels, with new symbols falling into the empty positions. This may lead to new winning combinations, which continue until no more new wins are formed. Symbols in locked positions stay in place and do not drop during cascades.

xNudge Wild

When an xNudge Wild symbol lands, it gradually nudges down to the bottom row. In the process, the xNudge Wild becomes a stacked Wild with a multiplier. Every nudge increases the xNudge Wild multiplier with the multiplier size depending on how many symbols it nudges to reach the bottom row. With xNudge multipliers additive, the xNudge Wild multiplier applies only to winning combinations involving the xNudge Wild.

xWays

xWays is a mystery symbol that contains 2 or 3 of the same symbol inside. Expanding the reels, xWays symbols can land on all reels and expand a reel up to 9 symbols high. Multiple xWays symbols can land on each spin with all xWays symbols revealing the same symbol. Importantly, the reels can expand for up to 531,441 ways to win.

Forsaken Fingers

When the Forsaken Fingers symbol lands, it unlocks the nearest position on the locked rows of its reel as well as adjacent reels, if present. The Forsaken Fingers symbol then transforms into a Wild.

Eye Collector & Spider

Dead Legend symbols (or the higher-value symbols) contain 1 or 2 eyes.

• Eye Collector: The Eye Collector collects eyes from Dead Legend symbols in the active reel area. For every 5 eyes collected, the total win multiplier increases by 1. It then converts itself into a Wild.
• Spider: The Spider is activated when an Eye Collector symbol is present. The Spider symbol randomly generates 4, 8, or 12 eyes, which are collected by the Eye Collector. It then converts itself into a Wild.

Entombed Spins

The Entombed Spins feature is triggered when 3 or more Purple Moon Scatter symbols land during a base game spin. With the chance a scatter upgrades to a Red Moon Scatter, you are rewarded with:

• 2 free spins for each Purple Moon Scatter
• 3 free spins for each Red Moon Scatter

There are progression levels with a Dead Legend symbol: you are required to collect 4 gems to move to the next level: each Purple Moon Scatter adds a gem.

In level 1, all Dead Legend symbols on the reels have the same number of eyes as in the base game. With each level upgrade, the Dead Legend symbol for that level doubles its number of eyes.

Each level upgrade rewards you with 2 extra free spins. Unlocked positions from Forsaken Fingers and the total win multiplier remain persistent between free spins.

Nolimit Booster

The Crypt 2 benefits from 5 Nolimit Booster options:

• Bonus Booster: Costing 2 x bet, you are 3 times more likely to trigger the Entombed Spins feature. The RTP is 96%.
• Booster Forsaken Fingers: Costing 20 x bet, you are guaranteed a minimum of 3 Forsaken Fingers. The RTP is 96.06%.
• Booster xWays + 7 Rows: Costing 30 x bet, you are guaranteed 2+ xWays with 7 active rows. The RTP is 96.08%.
• Booster xNudge + 7 Rows: Costing 90 x bet, you are guaranteed 1+ xNudge Wild with 7 active rows. The RTP is 96.07%.
• Booster Eye Collector + 7 Rows: Costin 199 x bet, you are guaranteed an Eye Collector & Spider symbol with 7 active rows. RTP rate is 96.065%.

The gameplay isn’t as complicated as it first appears: in the base game, winning combinations lead to cascades for more opportunities to win. xNudge Wilds expand to award wild reels with multipliers and xWays symbols increase the number of ways to win, up to 531,441 (as opposed to 46,656 in the original game). To get the full allocation of number of ways to win, Forsaken Fingers need to land as they unlock rows and then transform into Wilds.

Nolimit City has added Eye Collector and Spider symbols: Eye Collector symbols collects eyes from Dead Legend symbols with the multiplier increasing by 1 for every 5 collected. Also transforming into a Wild, the Spider activates when an Eye Collector is present: Spiders generate up to 12 eyes (for higher multipliers) and transform into Wilds.

NLC has changed the way the free spins feature works. In the original game, every 4^th winning cascade turned 1 of the dead legends into a Wild as well as 2 extra free spins. Wins with the highest-value symbol increases the win multiplier by 1.

In the Entombed Spins, the aim is to land Purple or Red Moon Scatters as they award 1 or 2 gems, respectively. Collect 4 gems to double the number of eyes for each Dead Legend symbol to increase the win multiplier and win extra free spins. Just as important is the Forsaken Fingers symbol as this unlocks rows to increase the number of ways to win: they are persistent throughout the feature.

With 31,248 x bet max wins, The Crypt 2 offers higher max win potential than its predecessor (27,000 x bet). Your chances of winning this (the max win probability) is 1 in 22.8 million spins versus 1 in 17.7 million spins in the original. However, triggering the Entombed Spins is more likely than triggering the Resurrection Spins in the original (1 in 265 spins versus 1 in 328 spins).

In terms of the free spins, your chances of winning the max payout dramatically increase compared to the base game:

• 3 Scatters: 1 in 369,000 spins
• 4 Scatters: 1 in 9,645 spins
• 5 Scatters: 1 in 3,178 spins

All in all, Nolimit City has gone bigger and bolder with The Crypt 2, but only just. The various mechanics and bonus features can combine to devastating effect in both the base game and Entombed Spins feature. However, it’s the Entombed Spins where bigger wins will come from due to unlocked positions and win multiplier persisting throughout the feature.
