Sheeple Slot (Shady Lady)

The Sheeple slot begins with 5 reels, 4 rows and 1,024 ways to win. Winning combinations, as expected, are formed when 3, 4 or 5 matching symbols appear on consectuve reels, starting from the leftmost reel and on any reel position. Only the highest win per way to win is awarded.

With a minimum bet of 10p a spin, the maximum bet amount is £5 in the UK, or £2 if you’re under 25 years of age. Outside the UK, the max bet is £50 a spin (or currency equivalent). Use the plus and minus buttons or press/click the ‘Bet’ amount to change your bet. Non-UK players can use Autoplay (up to 1,000 auto spins) or Turbo Mode (enabled with the Lightning Bolt icon).

The Sheeple RTP rate is 96.31%: 56.43% is for the base game with 39.88% coming from the bonus features. Also, Shady Lady has created alternative RTP versions: 94.29% and 92.28%. With a £20 balance and playing at 10p a spin, below is the number of expected of spins before running of money for each RTP variant:

• 96.31%: 5,393 spins
• 94.29%: 3,486 spins
• 92.28%: 2,578 spins

High volatility (9/10), a winning combination will land every 1 in 5.42 spins on average as the hit frequency rate is 18.44%. In terms of triggering the main bonus feature, this will occur every 212 spins on average. Lastly, Sheeple comes with 20,000 x bet max wins: this is the same figure for all Shady Lady games.

With a farm theme, the Sheeple slot takes place outside the city in a clandestine barn set amongst mountrains and idyllic rolling hills: think Yellowstone with a Hillbilly twist.

Colourful and fun, the first thing you’ll notice is the upbeat country music soundtrack which is sure to get you tapping away. Appearing to be a traditional farm-themed game, it’s anything but as you’ll discover when farmer and sheep symbols merge.

With big symbols, the low-value symbols include cans of Lanolin (a natural, waxy substance produced by sheep to waterproof their wool), bottles of moonshare and 3 different sheep.

The higher-value symbols include a black sheep and 4 different farmer characters: the red-eyed farmer is the best paying symbol, rewarding you with 0.8 x your total bet for 5 in combination.

The other symbols of note are the 2 Broken Hearts which appear on reels 5 and 6: they are key to triggering the Bonus feature (more on this below).

Sheeple Mobile

With Shady Lady using HTML5 technology for all games, Sheeple is compatible with mobile, tablet and desktop devices. Playable in Portrait Mode using an iOS or Android smartphone, I highly recommend a larger screen to get the full experience.

Sheeple is all about matching farmer and sheep symbols landing adjacent to another one: this awards Sheeple symbols which increases the number of ways to win and splits corresponding symbols elsewhere on the reels. With Mega Sheeples possible and a random Barn Buster that removes low-value symbols, there are free spins and super free spins with a much higher chance of Sheeples and Mega Sheeples.

Sheeple Merge 

If a farmer and matching sheep symbol land directly adjacent to each other (indicated by their background colours = yellow, green, red or blue), you’ll trigger the Sheeple Merge feature. Merging into a special Sheeple symbol, it covers the positions of both symbols can form wins with both corresponding farmer and sheep symbols.

Increasing the number of ways to win, all corresponding symbols are split to create Sheeple symbols. If more than 1 type of the same type of Sheeple is formed, the symbols split again, with the split count increasing by 1. So if 2 of the same Sheeple symbols have formed, all corresponding farmer and sheep symbols not involved in the Sheeple Merge will be split into 3.

Mega Sheeple Merge 

If 2 different Sheeple symbols appear directly adjacent to one another, they merge into a Mega Sheeple (and triggering the Mega Sheeple Merge feature).

Covering the positions of both original Sheeple symbols, it can form wins with any symbol corresponding to either of them. Furthermore, all farmer and sheep symbols associated with either of the merging Sheeple symbols increase their split count by 1.

Barn Buster

Randomly on any base game spin, the Barn Buster feature can trigger. All low-value symbols are removed from the reels, significantly increasing your chances of matching farmers and sheep (in order to create Sheeples). When triggered, your chances of creating Mega Sheeples, if possible, is 100%.

Bonus 

If 2 non-adjacent Broken Heart symbols land simultaneously on reels 5 and 6 in the base game, the Bonus feature will be triggered. With 6 free spins awarded, the number of low-value symbols appear will significantly reduce meaning the Mega Sheeple Merge feature probability increases to 68%.

If you land 2 adjacent Broken Heart symbols on reels 5 and 6, you’ll trigger the Super Bonus feature. With 6 free spins, all low-value symbols removed. The different is that the Mega Sheeple Merge feature probability increases to 100%.

With both options, you can win additional free spins. Finally, Shady Lady has added a Fast Forward Button: you can fast forward through the feature as well as stop at any time. I must say, it’s rather good.

The Store

In Sheeple, non-UK players can opt for ‘The Store’. With plenty of options, all the details are below:

• Bonus Boost: for 1.5 x bet, you boost your chances of triggering the Bonus feature by 237%. RTP is 96.3%. 
• Big Bonus Boost: for 5 x bet, your chances by 1199%. RTP is 96.4%. 
• Barn Buster Boost: for 13 x bet, you are guaranteed the Barn Buster feature. RTP is 96.7%.
• Bonus Buy: for 74 x bet, you will trigger the Bonus feature. RTP is 96.2%. 
• Super Bonus Buy: for 523 x bet, you will trigger the Super Bonus feature. RTP is 96.2%. 
• Bronze Bonus: for 128 x bet, you will trigger a Bronze version of the Bonus feature. RTP is 96.7%. 
• Silver Bonus: for 347 x bet, you will trigger a Silver version of the Bonus feature. RTP is 96.2%. 
• Gold Bonus: for 1,595 x bet, you will trigger a Gold version of the Bonus feature. RTP is 96.3%.

The 14^th game by Shady Lady, the Sheeple slot is bonkers. Starting off as a rather sleepy, farm-themed game, things get weird when farmer and sheep symbols merge. The creative guys at Shady Lady have really smashed this out of the park.

You’ll see sexy farmers with udders, on all fours, showing their bums in provocative positions, with high heels/hooves and a weird combination of multiple sheep and farmers. Honestly, create ‘Sheeples’ to see what I mean as it’s one of the weirdest but most intriguing games I’ve ever played.  

Unsettling but sparking interest at the same time, the aim of the game is to land farmer and sheep symbols with the same background colour adjacent to one another. This sees them merge into a Sheeple, which in turn increases the number of ways to win and your chances of forming winning combinations.

Mega Sheeple Merges meaning even bigger wins and more ways to win.  The random Barn Buster feature sees the 2 lowest-value symbols removed from play for a higher chance of Sheeples (and Mega Sheeples).

In the free spins, your chances of winning big increases with less or no low-value symbols: in the ‘Super’ version, your chances of a Mega Sheeple Merge increase to 100%. I also like the setting inside the barn as the ‘party’ really gets going so to speak.

With 20,000 x bet max wins (as is the case with all Shady Lady games), I need a minute to get my head around what I’ve just reviewed. I love the creativity but it’s sure to offend some farmers perhaps. I found it hilarious, odd, intriguing and controversial. That said, it’s definitely unique with the way symbols merge is something I’ve never come across before. Yet again, hats off to Shady Lady for another superb slot game. You just need to let the moonshine flow and get freaky.
