Retro Tapes is played on 6 x 9 grid, and it’s a cluster pays game.  Therefore, winning combinations are formed when you land 5 or more symbols that are adjacent to each other, forming a ’cluster.’

Cascade feature 

The cascade feature means that when there is a win, the symbols disappear from the grid, and new symbols tumble in from the top, this gives you the possibility of another win. This process continues until no more new winning clusters land on the grid.

Magnet Feature

When you see a Magnet icon appear, it triggers the Magnet feature where it picks random pay symbol types and pulls them in, to create a cluster win. These special symbols can also pull Instant Prize symbols to create a cluster win if there are 4 or more on the grid. Once all of the cluster wins have taken place, the Magnet transforms into the same pay symbol or Instant Prize symbol.

Wild Tape Symbol

The Wild Tape symbol is a Wild that substitutes for all other symbols apart from the Magnet symbol and the Wild Multiplier symbol. When a Wild Tape symbol contributes to a Cluster Win, the symbol will stick in the same position. Every Wild Tape symbol has a multiplier associated with it; it starts at 1x, and when it’s part of a cluster win, it increases the multiplier by 1. When triggered the Wild Tape symbol will stick in the same position where it triggered a feature.

Wild Multiplier Symbol

Wild Multipliers look like star symbols, and they land in both the base game and the Top Charts feature. Wild Multiplier symbols send their multiplier value to all Wild Tape symbols in view and they then transform them into an Instant Prize symbol with a random value. Wild Multipliers land with the following values attached to them: 1x, 2x, 3x, or 5x.

Instant Prize Symbols

The Instant Prize cymbal acts as a bet multiplier, when these symbols land in a cluster with 5+ it pays out. Instant Prize symbols have multipliers of 1x, 2x, 5x, 10x 25x, 50x, 100x, 250x, 500x and 1000x.

Top Charts Feature

When 3+ Wild Tape symbols land on the grid, the Top Charts feature is triggered. Once triggered, the Wild Tape symbols and Instant prizes from the base game will stick in the same position and carry over to the Top Charts bonus feature. 

• 3 Wild Tape symbols = 6 free spins
• 4 Wild Tape symbols = 8 free spins
• 5 Wild Tape symbols = 10 free spins
• 6 Wild Tape symbols = 12 free spins

During the bonus, each empty position on the grid will spin through to land on one of the following symbols:

Instant Prize symbols act as bet multipliers so you’re looking out for 5+ to land and if you get a higher value it can be worth it as these go up to 1000x.
