The music and sound effects give a dramatic feel, suiting the mythology theme.

Multiplier Wilds

Gift of Midas 

This feature can trigger randomly during the base game, adding a special symbol to the reels. When active, the effect will add between 1 - 9 Wild or 1 - 3 Scatters to the reels in random locations.

Bonus Game

Any win during the Bonus game triggers a Sticky Respin feature. During the respin feature, any winning symbols in a winning line will be locked and the remainder of the symbols will respin. The Respin feature continues until no additional winning symbols are locked. Additionally, an Epic Wild symbol is placed on the reels at the beginning of each first spin. The Epic Wild symbol (starting with a 2x multiplier) can replace all symbols except the Scatter. Collect 3 Scatters to fill the meter, doubling the multiplier to a max 32x and awarding you 2 extra free spins.

This second version of the slot game certainly has the golden touch, it feels even more decadent than the original Midas Golden Touch slot. It’s a smart-looking game, the blue marble grid mixed with gold trim was a nice touch. The Bonus Game feels sumptuous with lashings of gold on the screen.

The first Midas Touch slot game was released in 2019 and a second game was released in December 2023 and was called Midas Golden Touch Christmas Edition.

This game looks glitzier, but its mechanics are not that different. The Bonus Game is the highlight due to the number of features it contains; however, it’s similar to the Christmas edition of the game. For this game there was a single random Wild Symbol placed on the reels at the beginning of each free spin. This time, there is an Epic Wild symbol, which starts with a 2x multiplier and can reach an impressive 32x the bet.

The max win is better for Midas Golden Touch 2 at 15,000x, as the other two games were 10,100 x the bet. However, a big issue is the low RTP rate of 94.27%, which is the second lowest RTP of all of Thunderkick’s games released. The lowest is the last game, Xterminate, which was 94.12%. So maybe this is Thunderkick's new trend? I hope not, as anything below 96% nowadays is not great.

This game is enjoyable but there isn't enough to differentiate this game from the Midas Golden Touch slot games to make it stand out.
