With lives displayed on a Life Meter outside the reels (represented by hearts), 3 lives equal 3 free spins essentially. When a Coin, Jackpot Marker, Pot of Gold or Clover symbol lands, it remains on the reels until collected or until the end of the feature. With the lives refilled to 3, the feature ends when you run out of lives.

Look out for Clover symbols as they can land when Coin symbols are present on the reels. Clover symbols activate at the end of the feature, multiplying the values of all Coins and existing Pot of Gold symbols between 2x and 20x.

Pot of Gold symbols can land when Coin symbols are present on the reels or when landing together. A Pot of Gold symbol reveals all Coin values and activates any Clover symbols before activating. The Pot of Gold symbol collects the values of all Coin symbols and other activated Pot of Gold symbols, storing their total value.

Once a Coin has been collected, it is removed from the reels. Jackpot Markers are revealed after the Pot of Gold has activated and are awarded before the next spin. Only 1 Pot of Gold symbol can land per spin.

If all positions are filled with Coins, Clover and Jackpot Marker symbols, or if an activated Pot of Gold symbol is on the reels with all positions filled, Coins are revealed, Clovers are activated and Jackpot Markers are revealed. Once all reveals occur, all values are paid out and all special symbols are removed before the next spin.

The Rainbow Epic Drop Hold & Win feature is triggered bu landing 1 Epic Rainbow Scatter during a base game spin. With 3 refilling lives awarded, it works like the Rainbow Fortune Hold & Win feature.

Triggering frequently, the key is to land Coins and Jackpot Markers. Pot of Gold symbols collect all symbols in view and but Clover symbols are crucial as they multiply Coin and Pot of Gold values by up to 20x. With no free spins feature as such, this simplified game comes with 2,500 x bet max wins: this is 4 times less than in Le Bandit.

In summary, Le Bandit Hold & Win is a simple slot game that may appeal to players who have just discovered the ‘Le’ series. If you’ve come to expect more layers to the ‘Le’ gameplay and have followed the series since Le Bandit was released, this game will be disappointing. If it had much higher max win potential, I might have been able to stomach the stripped out gameplay but the other games in the series, like Le Cowboy, offer much higher max wins (up to 25,000 x bet) as well as more complex and better bonus features.

Finally, I hope Hacksaw Gaming don’t take Pragmatic Play’s approach to the Big Bass series with release after release. Let’s just hope the next release (which I’m sure is around the corner) builds on the success of previous ‘Le’ games.
