Test Comments

At just under 7 minutes, this was a pretty quick spin test, and all in all, very little happened, except 27 relatively low-value winning spins, hence the low 43% Session RTP.

The biggest base game win was an uninspiring 7.6x, and all in all the session offered little in the way of entertainment.

All is not lost however, I can confess to having played this game personally prior to it coming up on the review list and have a vague memory of a fairly handsome bonus round landing. I like this style from IGT, it is one of the most modern looking slots they have produced to date, and, the theoretical RTP is the biggest I have seem from this studio.

Theme – Gold Mine

The game’s logo includes dynamite in it which is a good indicator of what the game is all about. When you open the base game you’ll see the mine shaft filled with enormous golden nuggets and lanterns to light your way.

The reels from the base game are made up of a steely male and female character who front the game plus a canary, spade and lantern. The lower value symbols are a heart, diamond, spade and club and are attractively represented in gem colours. 

The lowest value symbol is a Scatter symbol represented by sticks of dynamite.

Play Experience & First Impressions

The light-hearted imagery and music are entertaining and as we’ve seen from other slot games over the years the gold-rush theme is perfectly placed for a winning slots formula. The usual suspects such as autoplay and other betting options are available which most slot games have available nowadays which is great.

The base game does what it says on the tin and I found the Bonus round particularly enjoyable which I’ll discuss further in the next section.

With an RTP going up to 96.53% this is higher than a lot of slot games which is a plus. It’s a traditional game and IGT has kept things pretty simple but the format works well. Even the Bonus Feature doesn't have as much pizazz as others on the market but it doesn't detract from it being a fun straightforward, classic, slot game.

I enjoyed the bonus round and it kept me on my toes. Imagery-wise it shows another section of the mine brimming with dazzling blue and purple precious stones. There is a large wall of 30 gems and you can pick a selection to explode to see what treasure lies behind them. The game then tallies up how many free spins and multipliers you’ve won which is exciting
