Aliens Among Us is a reskin of Life and Death but has a humorous, alien abduction/conspiracy take that makes the wild multiplier reels mechanic more appealing to the masses.

The first to mention about the Aliens Among Us slot is that Hacksaw Gaming has got the balance between conspiracy theory and humour spot on. It’s not as heavy as some controversial slots as it’s fun and quirky: it reminds me a little of Light & Wonder’s Invaders Megaways with all the spaceships, cows and aliens.

In terms of the gameplay, it’s basically the same as in the more sombre Life and Death (released in March 2025). Whilst reskins are generally frowned up, I think Hacksaw has done well to make it feel quite different due to the fun, humorous take on alien abductions.

All about expanding alien wilds, landing a few expanding alien wilds will see their multipliers added together for big win potential. The Green Alien is the most lucrative, offering multipliers up to 200x, but don’t expect to see him expanding often.

The expanding alien wilds are more common in the 2 free spins modes. I do like that the Farmageddon free spins allow for aliens to expand on any of the 4 central reels (once activated). Yet again, expect the blue and red aliens to expand more often that not with the occasional yellow alien.

With 15,000 x bet max wins, Aliens Among Us may be a clone of Life and Death but I feel like its more fun than its predecessor. It’s all down to personal preference when it comes to theme but I’d rather see aliens expanding that the Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse, personally. That said, a further free spins mode with guaranteed expanding aliens would been enough to take it to a whole new level.
