Many slots fans are getting poor payouts or second-rate sites. Wrong choices cost you. I'll match you with the best games and platforms for your style, so you get better value and variety.
In this exclusive Q&A-style interview, I sat down with Viktor Johansson, Slot Game Creator at Thunderkick. Having worked in the industry since 2007, Viktor is responsible for popular games such as Pink Elephants and Pink Elephants 2.
The focus of the interview is the release of the Pink Elephants Trinity slot, which is available at the majority of slot sites: it covers the inspiration behind the game, how it differs from its predecessors, new bonus features added and details on the ‘End Game’.
Q: What was the inspiration behind Pink Elephants Trinity?

VJ: “Pink Elephants Trinity was inspired by shamanistic rituals and the meeting between Light and Sound, a natural continuation of the series’ ascension path. This time, we gathered a tribe of monkeys around the Pink Flame to explore unity, patience, and transcendence. Conceptually, the game sits at the philosophical centre between the first two instalments, representing both evolution and involution. A space where sound, colour, and spirit meet.”
Q: What is different from the previous instalments?
VJ: “Trinity honours the heritage of the Pink Elephants universe but pushes its boundaries further. We kept the familiar rhythm of the 4,096 payways, the sacred peanut as the scatter, and the Pink Elephant as the high pay symbol, while introducing a deeper sense of progression and patience through a six-level bonus journey. The visuals and soundscape have also evolved, this time with a different colour hierarchy and more gradual storytelling that invites players into darkness and light as they ascend.”
Q: What new bonus features have been introduced?
VJ: “The six-level collection bonus introduces three spirit animals, the Red Panther, Indigo Jaguar, and Green-Yellow Bufo Frog, each tied to shamanic symbolism. As players collect peanuts, these spirits awaken and alchemise the Pink Flame into Sticky Wilds, injecting more peanuts to enhance momentum towards the Apex End Game. The system adds depth, mystery, and long-term engagement through progressive modifiers and tiered potential.”
Q: How does the Bonus Game feature work and what can players expect in the ‘End Game’?

VJ: “Once triggered, peanuts attached to Scatters and Pink Elephants are drawn into the Pink Apex Triangle, unlocking new levels and spirit animals along the way. Each level builds tension and visual splendour as modifiers evolve and the player ascends. Reaching the End Game at 144 peanuts unlocks a seventh reel, expanding the payways to 16,384, with only Pink Elephants remaining on the grid, a pure moment of potential and transcendence.”
Q: What has been your most popular release in 2025?

VJ: “Pink Elephants Trinity has certainly been one of our most celebrated launches, but the year has been strong overall. We’ve also seen great resonance from titles like Carnival Queen 2 and Hot Turkey. Each game brings its own flavour and philosophy, but Trinity holds a special place for its energy and the creative alignment it inspired across our studio.”
Q: Are there any plans for more sequels in 2026?
VJ: “Right now, it’s time to let Trinity vibrate and find its natural rhythm in the world. Whether the story continues or concludes here is part of the mystery, universes like this never truly end, they simply evolve. Perhaps, one day, we’ll see its mirror side.”
