My exclusive Q&A-style interview is with Christina Mirnaia (Head of Account Management at Peter & Sons). Working in the industry since 2013, the interview looks at the studio’s journey to date, how new slot games are created, how they differ from other providers, popular games in the UK, the much-anticipated release of Barbarossa Dragon Empire and their new Spotify account.
Q: Can you tell us a little about Peter & Sons and the journey since it was founded?
CM: “Peter & Sons was founded in 2019 by six incredibly talented creators who wanted to prove that slots can be genuine pieces of art. Fast-forward to today, and we’re a team of 60 brilliant people spread across Europe, with 60+ titles in our portfolio and presence in over 15 regulated jurisdictions (and counting).
We’ve built a reputation for our hand-drawn visuals and bold ideas you simply won’t find anywhere else. And with the capacity to deliver around 20+ AAA-quality games per year, 2026 is already looking brighter, louder, and even more ambitious for us.”
Q: How are new slot games created? What’s the process?
CM: “At Peter & Sons, making a game is equal parts art studio, science lab, and warm family dinner.
Every game begins with something unique: a certain scenario or theme, a charismatic character, or even a sketch that someone doodles during a call. From there, art, math, sound, dev, and product move together as one team.
We build worlds first: atmosphere, personality, emotion. Once the universe feels alive, we layer in math models, features, and pacing that match the game’s soul. Our artists and animators give it identity, our sound designers supply the heartbeat, and our dev team makes the magic actually work.
Nothing leaves the kitchen until the whole team feels it’s unmistakably ‘us’: bold, expressive, and fun.”
Q: How do Peter & Sons slots differ from other provider games?
CM: “Every slot we make has its own personality: its own mechanics, rhythm, and soul. You can open any Peter & Sons game and recognise it within a second. The art style, the flow, the well-thought-out details… It’s all part of our DNA.

Q: What are your most popular slot games in the UK and why do you think that is?
CM: “UK players respond incredibly well to games that feel fresh, character-driven and visually distinctive: and that’s exactly where Peter & Sons stands out. Q: Barbarossa Dragon Empire is coming next week. What should we expect from this release?
CM: “This is our loudest and greatest release of the year. With a 40,000 x bet max exposure, extra wilds, a fireball feature with instant wins, everything players have been wishing for under the holiday tree, it’s set to make a huge impact.
It’s one of the few games whose exclusive pre-release was fully booked the moment we simply said, ‘We start working on the next part of Barbarossa’. Partners know the trilogy, they love the trilogy, and they’ve been looking forward to the next chapter. This is the one we expect to see on multiple award lists.”
Q: Today Peter & Sons releases a Spotify account: that’s huge! Can you tell us more about this exciting campaign?
CM: “We have been receiving lots of requests from our players to make our music available outside of the games: and now’s the time. Our soundtracks are such a huge part of how we build worlds and shape mood, and it always felt a bit unfair that people could only listen to them while spinning the reels.
Launching our Spotify account is our way of letting players take that atmosphere anywhere: working, traveling, cooking a holiday meal with friends. Our music becomes part of their day, not just part of the game experience.
The first release is Mellow Winter Tapes, a cosy, atmospheric album that feels exactly like December: and there’s more to come soon.”
Q: What is your personal favourite Peter & Sons game and why?
CM: “The one that brings the most activity! Saying it as a Head of Account Management.
But if we’re talking favourites, Barbarossa will always have a special place in my heart. I’d also add that I absolutely love working on fully exclusive, bespoke games with our biggest partners. We tailor every detail to a specific player base, their market, their habits, their gaming culture.
Watching the results is incredibly rewarding, because these projects often become a seal of a stronger partnership and a testament to the fantastic teamwork it takes to deliver truly great entertainment.”
