Special betting markets are started to come up more and more following the breakthrough of AI in the mainstream with Chat GPT being used around the globe now.
Bookmakers are offering odds on AI to win a Pulitzer Prize by the end of 2024 and AI has been used in the past as part of research for previous Pulitzer award winners.
The Boston Globe used AI tool Pinpoint as part of an investigation, 'Blind Spot', with Pinpoint an AI tool from Google that allows journalists to upload and analyse documents in 7 different languages.
For this the Globe received the 2021 Pulitzer Prize in Investigative Reporting with Pinpoint letting you search for names, places and more in the documents that you upload.
The betting odds now are 3/1 that an AI wins the Pulitzer Prize by the end of 2024 with those odds suggesting there's a 25% chance that it does so.

When are the 2024 Pulitzer Prizes awarded?
Nominees and winners of the 2023 Pulitzer Prizes were announced back on May 8, 2023.
It's expected that the 2024 version will be awarded around the same time of the year next year with candidates all from what has taken place in 2023.
The Pulitzer Price is every year in twenty-one categories across achievements in newspaper, magazine, online journalism, literature, and musical composition in the US.
AI achievements could eventually cover every one of these categories and we could start to see them be nominated from this year.
