The UEFA Super Cup takes place on Wednesday night with Champions League winners Manchester City facing off against Europa League winners Sevilla in Athens, Greece.

Pep Guardiola's City side are the heavy favourites with bookies to win tonight's game with the latest betting odds putting them as short as 1/5 to lift the trophy.

The two sides met in Europe last season with City winning both games in the Champions League Group Stage 4-0 and 3-1 respectively before winning the competition.

Manchester City make their debut appearance in the match

Manchester City make their first appearance in the UEFA Super Cup on Wednesday night becoming the 40th side to feature in the competition and the third successive debutants after Villarreal and Frankfurt.

City are looking to become the sixth English team to win the Super Cup and the 25th side to do so with Pep Guardiola winning it three times himself as a manager and once as a player.
