British visual artist Heather Phillipson is the betting favourite for the Turner Prize this year
London-born visual artist Heather Phillipson is the bookmakers favourite to win this year's Turner Prize award.
The Turner Prize is an annual prize given to a British visual artist mainly given to exhibits created by the winning artist.
Bookies make Phillipson the 7/4 favourite for the Turner Prize, just in front of Ingrid Pollard in the betting market.

There are four nominees for the 2022 Turner Prize
The 2022 Turner Prize will be contested by four women this year and no collectives which is a big change from previous years.
2021's Turner Prize winner was Array Collective, a group of Belfast-based artists whose art is around conflict in Northern Ireland.
This year's full nominee list including their exhibits are:

- Ingrid Pollard - Carbon Slowly Turning
- Veronica Ryan - Custard Apple, Breadfruit, and Soursop, Along a Spectrum
- Victoria Sin - It's Always You, a Dream of Wholeness in Parts
The Turner Prize will be awarded in December at Tate Britain
This year's Turner Prize will be awarded on the 7th December at Tate Britain.
The award is presented at Tate Britain biannually with it presented around the UK every other year.
Last year's award was presented in City of Culture Coventry but we're back at Tate Britain in December for this year's award.
