All eyes are already looking towards the 2023 Ryder Cup with the event just under a month away and bookmakers are offering odds on who will make both the USA and European teams.

There has already been change for Team Europe with Luke Donald replacing Henrik Stenson as the European captain last August due to Stenson's decision to join the LIV Golf Tour.

Three players are already confirmed for Team Europe with Rory McIlroy, Jon Rahm and Viktor Hovland the first three qualifying with Rahm and McIlroy confirmed via their European points list and Hovland via the World points list.

Bet365 have odds for more Team Europe contenders with Justin Rose the shortest price at 1/20 and Shane Lowry just behind at 1/16 with the market suggesting they're both a lock-in.

Zach Johnson leads the USA side with six players already qualified for the team

Zach Johnson was chosen as the Team USA captain for the Ryder Cup back in February 2022 and 18 months on he now has to make big choices for his team with six players undecided.

Six players have already qualified due to their overall points earned through majors and tour events over the past couple of years with Scottie Scheffler, Wyndham Clark, Brian Harman, Patrick Cantlay, Max Homa and Xander Schauffele all qualified.

The final six who will make the team will all be picked by captain Zach Johnson and he has tough decisions to make with a whole host of big names available for selection.

Where and when will the 2023 Ryder Cup take place?

The 2023 Ryder Cup will be held at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club after it was chosen ahead of Vienna, Berlin and Girona to host the event back in December 2015.

Team USA are the current holders of the Ryder Cup after beating Team Europe back in 2021 by 19-9 at Whistling Straits.

This year's Ryder Cup event will be held on 29 September - 1 October and as always is a match play event spread across 3 days.
