OLBG look at past odds around Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with a variety of betting specials offered

With Prince Harry and Meghan Markle still continuously in the news, OLBG have taken a look at past odds from bookmakers around the couple from when crisis talks were held back in 2020.

Paddy Power's original market back in 2020 focused on a wide range of outcomes for the couple around what they'd do next following their departure from the Royal Family.

Harry & Meghan Specials (2020 market)OddsProbability
Permanently move back to the UK6/440%
Adopt a baby/child6/114.3%
Meghan to return to a special of Suits20/14.8%
Meghan to appear as herself in The Crown100/11%

The couple live in an £11m Montecito mansion but one of the favourite's in the betting market was for them to move back to the UK permanently at some point.

The outsiders in the betting market revolved around Markle's acting career including appearing in Netflix series 'The Crown'.

What the expert says...
Paddy Power's market from 2020 had specials including 6/4 that Harry and Meghan would move back to the UK permanently. The couple currently reside in California and that looks like no chance of changing.

Previous odds around the couple include 14/1 that they rejoin the Royal Family at some point

Further specials that were originally priced up included odds of 14/1 that the couple would rejoin the Royal Family at some point.

As we currently stand though that looks like there's no chance of that happening, never-mind the 6.7% implied probability that those odds give.

Buckingham Palace has not officially commented on the release of the documentary and it's unlikely that they actually will.

Bookies also gave odds in 2020 of 3/1 that the couple would DIVORCE by 2025

Despite the couple seemingly always showing how strong they are in the public eye, Paddy Power offered just 3/1 that they would divorce by 2025.

The 25% chance that they originally gave for the divorce would surely be far bigger now if the market was to reopen.

Nearly 50 million people reportedly watched Harry & Meghan's interview with Opera back in 2021.

What the expert says...
Bookies gave a 25% chance that Harry & Meghan would divorce by 2025 but the couple seemingly go from strength-to-strength heading into a new era for the pair with their Netflix documentary airing and Harry releasing a book.
