We now have a brand-new favourite in the betting market for the Best Picture award at the 2025 Oscars with UK Betting Sites now placing The Brutalist as 3/1 at the top of the betting.
The historical drama looks at László Tóth, a Hungarian-born Jewish architect who survives the holocaust and emigrates to the United States to pursue the American dream.
Following its premiere at the 81st Venice International Film Festival, the film recieved the Silver Lion for director Brady Corbet and had massively postitive reviews.
This hype has seen Ladbrokes instantly install the movie as the favourite to win the Best Picture award at the Academy Awards next year with a competitive looking market offered.
Currently The Brutalist has a 25% chance of winning the top award on the night at the Oscars, with former favourite Sing Sing also featuring towards the head of the betting.

Brady Corbet's Silver Lion win at the Venice International Film Festival has also seen him become a new entry into the Best Director market at the Oscars.
Dennis Villeneuve is still the favourite in the betting market to win Best Director for Dune: Part Two but Corbet now follows just behind in the betting odds.
Currently Corbet is 2/1 in the market which sees him given a 33% chance of winning Best Director for The Brutalist and the movie could play a big part in the next Academy Awards ceremony.

Kevin Hart moved into favourite to host the Oscars next year
Betting odds have also been offered for who will be the host of the 2025 Oscars ceremony with the search still on for a presenter for the biggest show in cinema.
Kevin Hart has previously topped the betting odds for the hosting position despite saying in the past that it was something that he will never do.
Hart was set to host the show back in 2019 but he stepped down after outcry over previous comments he made on his social media and in his stand-up sets 10 years previous.
He's now 5/1 to host the show in 2025, with further odds given in our news piece below.
