Will Smith favourite for Best Actor at this year's Oscars
Superstar actor Will Smith is a heavy 1/8 favourite with bookmakers to win Best Actor at this year's Oscars ceremony.
Smith won the Leading Actor award at the BAFTAs last weekend for his role in movie King Richard.
Best Actor at Oscars | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|

Benedict Cumberbatch | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Andrew Garfield | 9/1 | 10% |

Benedict Cumberbatch was favourite to win the BAFTA for Leading Actor going into those awards, but was pipped by Smith.
The Power of the Dog won numerous awards at the BAFTAs, showing that its popularity across the awards season has continued.
Andrew Garfield is also nominated for this award for his role in autobiographical musical 'tick, tick... BOOM!' where he stars as playwright Jonathan Larson.
The Power of the Dog set to sweep another awards show
Jane Campion's western The Power of the Dog scooped two major prizes at the BAFTAs with Best Picture and Best Director both going towards them.
More of the same could happen here, with the Netflix distributed film 4/11 to win Best Picture at the Oscars this year.
Jane Campion herself is also 1/40 to win Best Director, with that award seemingly already tied up according to bookmakers.

Encanto has quickly become one of the most successful Disney films in recent times and is as short as 1/8 to win Best Animated Feature at this year's Oscars.
Lin Manuel Miranda's soundtrack to the movie has helped massively for the film's success amongst children and adults across the world.
'We Don't Talk About Bruno' became a viral sensation thanks to app TikTok while topping the US and UK Music Charts in the process.
Disney producers though submitted a different song from Encanto for Oscar's nomination, not knowing how successful the song would be.
Billie Eilish is favourite to win the Best Original Song Oscar with her Bond theme 'No Time To Die' 8/15 to win the award.
