Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is 2/1 favourite to be next manager to leave

Manchester United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is the favourite to be the next Premier League manager after a string of poor performances has seen question marks put on his job.

Wednesday night's win over Atalanta for Man United could well have been a turning point for Solskjaer.

United were 2-0 down at Half Time and were booed off by their own fans at Old Trafford, but a 3-2 turnaround and a late Ronaldo winner meant that everything seemed back to normal again.

Solskjaer went as low as EVENS with bookmakers to be the next manager to leave yesterday, but has since drifted slightly in the market to 2/1.

Betting sites are giving a 33% probability that the Norwegian manager is the next Premier League boss to leave his club this season after the departure of Xisco Munoz at Watford and Steve Bruce at Newcastle.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is now the 2/1 favourite with bookmakers to be the next Premier League manager to leave after Steve Bruce was sacked at Newcastle on Wednesday.

Man United have a tricky run of fixtures on the way

After a tough game away to Leicester last weekend, where Man United were thumped 4-2 by Brendan Rodgers side, things don't get easier for the Red Devils.

A tricky Champions League fixture against Atalanta on Wednesday night saw United come back from 2-0 down to win 3-2 and get an important win in the Group Stages.

Arguably the biggest game on Man United's fixture calendar comes up next with Liverpool coming to Old Trafford and this will be an important fixture in a tough period for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men.

Man United's upcoming fixtures:

  • Liverpool at home - 24th October 16:30pm
  • Tottenham away - 30th October 17:30pm
  • Atalanta away - 2nd November 20:00pm
  • Man City home - 6th November 12:30pm

Claudio Ranieri already 4/1 second favourite to leave next

Claudio Ranieri has only just become Watford manager after the dismissal of Xisco Munoz and he is already 4/1 at betting sites to be the next Premier League manager to leave.

That makes him second favourite in the market and this is surely due to the fact that Watford are well known of hiring and firing managers quickly.

With 16 managers in the last 10 years, it's no surprise that Claudio Ranieri may already be looking over his shoulder, especially after his first game in charge ended in an embarrassing 5-0 home defeat to Liverpool.

Daniel Farke is 3rd favourite in the market with odds of 13/2 and with no wins in the first 8 league games for Norwich, it may be that Farke is under pressure at the club.

With just 2 goals scored in the league in those first 8 games and 6 defeats too, it will come as no surprise to anyone if there were to be question marks around Daniel Farke's position at Norwich.

Next Premier League Manager to Leave Odds Probability
Ole Gunnar Solskjaer 2/1 33.3%
Claudio Ranieri 4/1 20%
Daniel Farke 13/2 13.3%
Nuno Espirito Santo 11/1 8.3%
