- Frank Lampard has seen his odds fall to 5/1 from 16/1 to be the next manager to leave this season
- No manager is still 7/4 favourite in the betting market, with just 2 months left in the season
- Roy Hodgson also shortens in betting market following Watford's tricky spell under him
Frank Lampard has seen his odds fall to 5/1
Everton manager Frank Lampard hasn't had the best time since taking over the Toffees from Rafa Benitez.
With 1 win and 4 losses from his first 5 Premier League games at the club, Lampard is now into 5/1 with bookies to be dismissed.
The possibility of relegation for Everton is seeming like a real thing and the club have only ever been relegated twice in their history.
Next Premier League Manager to leave | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
No manager to leave | 7/4 | 36.4% |
Frank Lampard | 5/1 | 16.7% |
Antonio Conte | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Brendan Rodgers | 8/1 | 11.1% |
Roy Hodgson | 10/1 | 9.1% |
Brendan Rodgers still features low down in the betting market, but has drifted from being favourite to go just a fortnight ago.
Rodgers' Leicester side had been knocked out of the FA Cup and were struggling in the league, so it was no surprise to see him as a favourite to go down.
Recent results in the last few weeks though has seen confidence back in Rodgers at Leicester.
No manager to leave still 7/4 favourite with just 2 months left of season
Bookmakers expect that no manager will leave before the end of the season, with just two months left before it finishes in May.
Last season though saw two dismissals after this date, with Chris Wilder leaving on the 13th March and Jose Mourinho leaving in April.
Mourinho's dismissal was a big one, with Ryan Mason taking over at Tottenham just a week before the League Cup Final.
It may be then that we still see a Premier League sacking from now until the end of the season based on previous history.
Roy Hodgson shortens in the market with Watford struggling
Watford are known for dismissing their manager's quite soon into their reign's and it may be no different with Roy Hodgson.
There's been no real change from when Hodgson took over at the Hornets to previous form in the season under Claudio Ranieri.
At odds of 10/1 though, there are still a few manager's with more chance of being dismissed next according to betting sites.
Tottenham manager Antonio Conte is one of those managers, with Spurs having previous of dismissing them towards the end of the season as shown last year.
