Coming-of-age drama Heartstopper is the 10/11 favourite to win Best New Drama at the NTAs

Netflix coming-of-age comedy drama Heartstopper is the bookies favourite to win the Best New Drama award at this year's National Television Awards.

At odds of 10/11, Heartstopper has a 52% chance of winning the Best New Drama award but faces tough competition in the category.

BBC drama Time and ITV's Trigger Point are both 3/1 in the betting market to win the award at this year's NTAs.

Sean Bean drama Time is the joint second favourite with bookies to win the award

Time was a three-part drama on the BBC starring Sean Bean and Stephen Graham and set in a prison.

With just three episodes of the show, the focus was around Bean's character Mark Cobden who found out the hard was that he wasn't cut out for prison.

With many twists and turns along the way, both Bean and Graham were praised for their acting in the series.

The BBC confirmed that the show will return next year with an all-female prison setting without Bean and Graham.

Coronation Street is favourite to win Best Serial Drama at the NTAs this year

Coronation Street is the odds on favourite to win this year's Best Serial Drama at the National Television Awards.

At odds of 8/15, Corrie is the clear favourite to win the Best Serial Drama award for back-to-back years.

Coronation Street's win last year was their first since 2014 and ended a four year winning streak for Emmerdale.
