Rochelle Humes is the evens favourite to replace the departing Holly Willoughby

Bookmakers are now offering odds on who the next permanent host of ITV's This Morning will be after Holly Willoughby stepped down from the show earlier this week.

Willoughby had hosted the ITV daytime programme for 14 years but decided to leave this week "for me and my family" in a statement released on Tuesday.

Rochelle Humes presented the first show after her departure on Wednesday and is the early favourite to replace Willoughby on a permanent basis.

Betway's full market has Josie Gibson and Alison Hammond just behind Humes to get the role, with both having experience hosting the show in the past.

Willoughby left the show earlier this week after 14 years

Holly Willoughby left ITV's This Morning on Tuesday after 14 years of hosting the show following a period of absence from the show after a man was charged in relation to an alleged plot to kidnap and murder her.

Those recent events seemingly left Willoughby with no decision other than stepping down and her statement on Tuesday spoke about it being a "difficult goodbye."

Willoughby's departure comes just five months after This Morning's previous drama after Phillip Schofield departed after he admitted lying about an affair with a younger colleague.

Further entertainment specials offered including Dancing on Ice winner

Further betting specials are offered including who will win the next series of Dancing on Ice which Holly Willoughby also presents on ITV.

As of now there has been no decision on whether or not Willoughby will leave her role as presenter on that show too after Phillip Schofield left earlier this year.

Odds are given on who will win the show though with former Love Island star turned West End performer Amber Davies the early favourite to win.

Former S Club 7 singer Hannah Spearritt is just behind in the betting market at 7/2 in what looks to be a competitive series of the show on paper.
