What the expert says..
Odds suggest that it's going to be next year at the earliest that we see the Glazers sell the club
We're nearly 9 months on from the Glazer family first announcing that Manchester United is for sale and months of negotiations with potential buyers has gone nowhere.
The race to takeover at Manchester United has seemingly boiled down to Sheikh Jassim and British businessman Sir Jim Ratcliffe in a two horse race.
The odds now give an implied probability of 71% that the takeover of the club doesn't happen until 2024 at the earliest with 2024 or later odds-on at 2/5 in the market.
Man United now 11/1 to win the Premier League this season
Erik Ten Hag's Manchester United side are 11/1 to win the Premier League this season with a big transfer window putting them in a good position ahead of the new campaign.
Manchester City are odds-on favourites to win the league at 8/11 with Pep Guardiola's men coming off the back of an historic treble-winning season last year.
Their main rivals for the title were Arsenal and Mike Arteta's team beat Man City in the Community Shield on Sunday and that could be a market for the new season.
