Tom Holland remains favourite to play Link in the upcoming Legend of Zelda movie
Betting odds continue to be offered on the upcoming Legend of Zelda film with the highly anticipated movie currently in development by Nintendo according to reports back in November.
Nintendo will be hoping to replicate the success it had with the Super Mario Bros movie last year which grossed more than $1.3 billion at the global Box Office.
Bookmakers now are giving odds on who will play the big roles in the Zelda movie with the two biggest stars arguably Zelda herself and the protagonist Link who will be the big character in the film.

Wes Ball will be the director of the movie, nearly 14 years on from a tweet that he posted that revealed him to be a Zelda fan saying, “Since I could never even hope to have the chance to direct it…the next big mo-cap ‘Avatar’-like movie should be…THE LEGEND OF ZELDA,” in a post on January 29th 2010.
Tom Holland remains the betting favourite to play Link in the movie with Avi Arad, producer on Holland’s Spider-Man movies, being brought in to play a big part of producing the Zelda film.
This may well mean that Holland is a big player in the running to star as Link with a whole host of big names featuring in the market.

Saoirse Ronan is the 3/1 favourite to play Zelda in the live-action movie with the casting one of the biggest things that will help the movie be a success.
Ronan would be a big signing for the movie, which is unclear whether it’ll be a one-off or a full franchise with the storyline also not certain as of yet.
It may well be that we see the Legend of Zelda film follow the storylines of the games, but it’s more likely that it’ll be a brand new story set in the Zelda universe similar to how the Super Mario Bros movie turned out.
