Kurt Cobain's Fender Mustang Guitar is up for auction later this month with bookies offering odds on how much it makes

Bookies are now offering odds on how much Kurt Cobain's iconic Fender Mustang Guitar will make at auction later this month with thousands of pieces of rock'n'roll history up for grabs.

Cobain's blue left-handed Fender electric is expected to make up to $2m at the auction with the current listing by Juliens giving an estimated price of $1m-$2m.

The guitar was used in a large amount of dates by Nirvana in their final tour before Cobain took his own life in 1994, just a month after their final performance in Munich, Germany.

OLBG have looked at the latest betting odds, which say there's a 66% chance that the guitar's auction reaches over $1.8m with the current biggest online bid currently sitting at $700,000.

Despite the current bid being at $700,000 without the official night even beginning there is still a 40% chance given by bookies that the auction finishes below $1.8m.
