Arctic Monkeys are now the big favourites to headline Glastonbury at 1/5
Glastonbury will start to hint at headliners for next year's event and bookies make Arctic Monkeys the 1/5 favourites to headline the festival next year.
The band announced a massive stadium tour for 2023 and on the Friday and Saturday of Glastonbury their schedule is free.
It may well be that those dates have been left open for a Glastonbury headline slot and bookies give an 83% chance that that is the case.
Glastonbury 2023 Headliner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Arctic Monkeys | 1/5 | 83.3% |
Guns N Roses
|
1/3 | 75.0% |
Taylor Swift | 1/1 | 50.0% |
Harry Styles
|
7/4 | 36.4% |
Elton John
|
2/1 | 36.4% |
Guns N Roses have shortened in the betting market to 1/3 and they are linked with headlining the festival every year.
Emily Eavis has said that they need to play the festival at some point in the future and that some point may well be in 2023.
Former favourite Elton John is now 2/1 to headline Glastonbury this year
Elton John has previously been favourite to headline Glastonbury but has since drifted out in the market to 2/1.
It may well be that the famous popstar is given the legends slot if he is to finally play the big festival.
Elton John has never played Glastonbury and this may well be the last chance he will have of doing so as he is currently on his farewell tour.
Robbie Williams has hinted that he would like to do the legends slot at the festival, saying it would "be cool" to do so.
Harry Styles also has a gap in his tour schedule for Glastonbury
Former One Direction singer and Pop superstar Harry Styles is now 7/4 to be one of the three headliners at the 2023 Glastonbury Festival.
This comes after his 2023 tour dates left the Friday and Sunday of Glastonbury weekend free with a concert in Belgium on the Saturday.
Similar to Arctic Monkeys, this automatically makes festival goers hope for an appearance at the festival next year.
Bookies have given him a 36.4% chance of headlining next year's festival, drifting slightly in the market from the evens odds he was a fortnight ago.
