- Bookies go 4/1 that Glastonbury is cancelled this year with Omicron variant still looming over the country
- Aerosmith remain favourites to headline the festival with the band being rumoured for the last year to perform there
Still 4/1 odds that Glastonbury is cancelled this year
The Omicron variant doesn't look like it's going anywhere any time soon and this may lead to Glastonbury's cancellation again.
The famous festival is held at Worthy Farm and this Summer will be the three year anniversary of it last taking place.
2020 was meant to be the massive 50th anniversary of the festival but the breakout Coronavirus pandemic put hold to that.
With betting sites giving odds of 4/1 that Glastonbury is again cancelled this year, they think there's a 20% chance that the virus continues to cause issues.
Aerosmith remain favourites to perform at this year's Glastonbury Festival if it goes ahead
Steven Tyler and his band Aerosmith remain heavy favourites to headline Glastonbury 2022 with bookies giving odds as short as 1/7.
The band did originally leak that they were playing Glastonbury in 2022, with the date being added to their World Tour last year before the 2021 cancellation.
The dates stated a 25th June 2022 slot at Glastonbury which would be the Saturday night and although it has since been removed off their site, there is still a massive gap in the dates for the festival.
Glastonbury 2022 Headliner | Odds | Probability |
---|---|---|
Aerosmith | 1/7 | 87.5% |
Taylor Swift | 1/2 | 66.7% |
Diana Ross | 4/5 | 55.6% |
Elton John | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Kendrick Lamar | 2/1 | 33.3% |
Queens of the Stone Age | 3/1 | 25% |
Coldplay | 6/1 | 14.3% |
Lady Gaga | 7/1 | 12.5% |
Fleetwood Mac | 8/1 | 11.1% |
ABBA | 12/1 | 7.7% |
Taylor Swift is second favourite in the odds to headline Glastonbury this year as she was originally planned to headline the festival last year.
Cancellation of the Festival due to the pandemic meant that Swift was no longer down as headliner, but she's still 1/2 to be announced again this year.
