Gavin and Stacey returns for a final time this Christmas with special odds offered
Hit BBC comedy Gavin and Stacey will return for a final one-off special this Christmas with co-creators James Corden and Ruth Jones announcing the news on Instagram last month.
Five years on from the last special the show, which stars Corden and Jones as Smithy and Nessa, will have one final episode air on Christmas Day this year with millions expected to watch.
The return of the show though will have viewers wonder what's occurin' with viewers left with a cliffhanger in the last episode as Nessa was seen proposing to Smithy.
We're set to see what Smithy's answer will be to that question with even more outcomes offered in the specials including the chances of us finally finding out what happened on that fishing trip.

Show returns five years on from the last special which aired on Christmas 2019
The last episode of Gavin and Stacey that aired was back on Christmas Day in 2019 with the popular series coming back after a nine-year break when it first returned.
That special five years ago saw 17.1 million viewers watch on the BBC with 11.6m of them linear viewers who watched it live in the biggest TV event on the channel in over a decade.
Gavin and Stacey's return that time even beat the Queen's Speech and it would be no surprise to see the King's Speech this year get less viewers than the hit television show.

Return of the show was originally reported by Deadline back in February
Rumours of the return of Gavin and Stacey were rife in the past 6 months and US publication Deadline originally reported of the return all the way back in February this year.
Corden's return to the UK following the end of his eight-year spell as Late Late Show host in the US instantly saw calls of Gavin and Stacey to return and that's come to fruition this year.
Last year's most watched show on the BBC on Christmas Day apart from the King's Speech was Strictly Come Dancing's Christmas Special which saw 5m viewers tune-in and the Beeb will be hoping that those figures are well exceeded this year.
