Bookies say there's a 5/2 chance that the next Game of Thrones sequel will be an animated series

Following the success of House of the Dragon's first series, bookmakers are already giving odds around what the next sequel will be from the Game of Thrones world.

Various reports back in July last year suggested that multiple spin-offs in the Game of Thrones universe were in the works including three or four animated ones according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Betway say there's a 28% chance that the next spin-off coming from the Thrones universe is an animated one with the book's author George RR Martin confirming an animated venture.

"The animated shows are coming along great. The concept art is absolutely stunning," said Martin.

Game of Thrones - Next Sequel to be commissioned Odds Probability
Animated Series 5/2 28.6%
Mance Rayder spin-off 3/1 25.0%
Robert's Rebellion 4/1 20.0%
Dunk & Egg 5/1 16.7%
First Blackfyre Rebellion 6/1 14.3%
Valyria pre-Doom 6/1 14.3%
Aegon's Conquest 7/1 12.5%
Jon Snow spin-off 14/1 6.7%
According to the latest betting odds there's a 28% chance that we see an animated series come next in the Game of Thrones universe!

A Jon Snow spin-off is the longest odds at 14/1

Jon Snow actor Kit Harington hinted earlier this week about the possibility of playing one of the most know characters from the Game of Thrones series again.

During an appearance on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon Harington said that he was "pretty close to like putting on some furs".

George R.R. Martin seemed to confirm last year that a Jon Snow spin-off was on the cards with a team assembled by Kit Harington himself.

At odds of 14/1 though there's just a 6% chance that we see the Snow spin-off happen next.

Mance Rayder spin-off shortest odds for a live-action sequel next

The latest betting odds suggest that the next live-action Game of Thrones sequel that we see next will be around Mance Rayder.

With Betway's odds at 3/1 for a Mance Rayder spin-off next up, they say that this has the most chance of being made after an animated show at 25%.

This may come as a surprise as a Jon Snow spin-off would likely have more of a casual viewership as well as the die hard GoT audience come into the show.

Despite talk around a Jon Snow spin-off coming up, it's a Mance Rayder spin-off that is favourite in the betting odds if we were to see a live action GoT series next!
