Julen Lopetegui is now the 4/1 favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave this season

Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui has now moved into 4/1 favourite with UK Betting Sites to be the first Premier League manager to leave his role this season.

Lopetegui had been linked with a move away from Wolves at the end of last season according to reports in the Daily Mail due to fears around the club's FFP issues.

Fast forward to July though and Lopetegui is still at the club, but Wolves are yet to bring any big signings in and the Spanish manager may have those worries again ahead of the new season.

The latest betting odds now say that there's a 20% chance that Lopetegui is the first manager to leave this season with the first Premier League games kicking off in August.

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom drifts out to second favourite at 5/1

Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom has drifted out to second favourite to be the first Premier League manager to leave this season.

The Blades are one of the favourites to be relegated this season and a tough start to the campaign may see question marks over Heckingbottom's position at the club.

The odds suggest there's a 16% chance of the Sheffield United manager leaving his role first with just 4 weeks to go until the season kicks off.

Luton Town remain favourites to be relegated from the Premier League this season

Luton Town remain the big favourites to be relegated from the Premier League this season with their odds at 4/11 to go straight back down to the Championship.

Luton are one of the shortest priced favourites for relegation that there has been in recent seasons and it'll take a huge campaign for them to stay up.

Sheffield United are also odds-on to be relegated with their odds at 8/11 to be relegated back down to the Championship.

Premier League Relegation 23/24 Odds Probability
Luton Town 4/11 73.3%
