Geneva, Zürich, Basel and St. Gallen are the four competitors to host 2025's Eurovision Song Contest
The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest will be held in Switzerland after Nemo won the 2024 edition of the famous show with his song 'The Code' in Sweden earlier this month.
With Switzerland winning they will now host next year's contest and four cities have already put their name's forward to be a host of the event in 2025.
Geneva, Zürich, Basel and St. Gallen are all interested in hosting the Eurovision Song Contest and we will start to see a clearer picture over who will host in the upcoming weeks.
There has not been a start to the formal bidding process as of yet, but any host city must have a venue that accommodates around 10,000 spectators, a strong transport system and an international airport.
Zürich is currently the favourite with bookies as they have the biggest concert hall in Switzerland with the Hallenstadion having a capacity of around 15,000 people.

What the expert says...
Switzerland won the Eurovision Song Contest this year with Nemo voted the best
Switzerland were crowned winners of the 2024 Eurovision Song Contest with Nemo storming the show with 591 points putting them 44 points above Croatia.
Despite finishing 5th in the Televoting, Switzerland stormed the Jury votes with more than 140 points than any of their rivals which ultimately saw them crowned the winner.
Nemo will perform at next year's Song Contest in their home country and the 24-year-old is a massive LGBT advocate who came out as non-binary in 2023.
We look in further detail at the four potential host cities next year
Zürich
The Hallenstadion in Zürich is the biggest arena that is listed to host Eurovision next year with the arena having a max capacity of 15,000, with 13,000 usually available for concerts there. Zürich is the largest city in Switzerland which may well put it as the frontrunner to host the massive event next year.
Basel
Basel's St. Jakobshalle is joint second favourite to host Eurovision next year and as well as a massive arena there are also five halls that are suitable for press events and other things Eurovision too.
Geneva
It's likely that Geneva will push the International Exhibition and Convention Center Palexpo as their host venue for next year's Eurovision with the arena having seven halls, and 102,000 square metres of exhibition space. The arena is also close to Geneva International Airport which helps their chances further.
St. Gallen
St. Gallen's Kantonalbank Hall is the outsider to host Eurovision and although the venue is more than good enough to host, the small airport in the city may not be big enough to put it as a frontrunner.
No odds offered as of yet for who will win next year's Eurovision Song Contest
The 2025 Eurovision Song Contest does not yet have winner markets available but the coming months should see odds come available around the show.
Italy will likely be in and around the top of the betting odds with the Italian's usually featuring in the Top 5 of the betting markets every single year.
It's expected that the United Kingdom will be a massive outsider once again with Olly Alexander going into this year's event with odds of 150/1 to win the show.
