Saturday was actually Howe's unofficial confirmation as manager of Newcastle, with the manager in attendance at the AMEX as he saw his new team draw 1-1 away at Brighton.
Bookmakers are already giving odds of 7/1 that Howe wins the Manager of the Month award before the end of the 21/22 season.
Howe has won the Premier League Manager of the Month award on three separate occasions as manager of Bournemouth, in March 2017, January 2018 and October 2018.
Howe has been without a job since leaving Bournemouth back in August 2020 and a year and a half on he has a new job in the Premier League.
