  • 6/4 bookmaker odds is 40% probability neither signing will take place
  • Kane is still favourite to sign for City at betting sites with 50% Chance
  • Christian Ronaldo now linked with City and Bookmakers say 30% chance he will sign

Whilst there has long been talk about Harry Kane making a move from Spurs to Manchester City, another name has been thrown into the mix; none other than former United wonder-kid Christan Ronaldo.

There has been recent speculation and rumour that Ronaldo has shown an interest in doing to City and away from current club Juventus, much as we have heard from Harry Kane.

But bookmakers still provide the NO DEAL option for both players as the most likely outcome. They provide odds of 1.57 that each player will stay at Juventus, or not sign or agree a contract with another club, that's 60% probability

Player Conditions Odds Probability
Harry Kane not to sign or agree contract with any other club 1.57 63.69%
Christiano Ronaldo To Stay at Juventus 1.57 63.69%

Coupling those odds lowers the probability to 40% that neither signs for City but still remains the most likely outcome

This has left fans of the club and the players clamouring to bet on 'something happening', rather than nothing.

According to bookmakers, there is a 60% chance that a transfer to Man City for Either Kane or Ronaldo will not happen. These transfers would seem to still be a long way off.

Kane to City

Whilst Kane has reportedly spoken of a desire to move away from Spurs in the pursuit of silverware that has thus far eluded him in an 11 year career at Spurs, Manchester City may not be the only option, but certainly, according to the odds with bookmakers are by far and away the favourites to get his signature. But there remain other clubs in the race for his signature.

He missed some pre-season training and the first game of the season or Spurs leading to a future of speculation but has since played for the club against Wolves last week. There remains another week before the transfer deadline day, and much can happen in the final hours of the window

Harry Kane to Sign before 3rd Sept Odds

Club Odds Probability
Man CIty Evens 50%
PSG 25/1 3.85%
Man Utd 33/1 2.94%
Chelsea 40/1 2.44%
Real Madrid 40/1 2.44%
Liverpool 40/1 2.44%
Barcelona 50/1 1.96%
Arsenal 250/1 0.40%

With just days left of the transfer window, betting sites are being cautious about nothing being agreed before it closes. Anything could happen, even in the final hours and minutes.

Ronaldo to City

Throwing a spanner into the world and something that has the potential to cost Kane the move away from Spurs he so desires is a certain former player of the Reds across the City. Christiano Ronaldo has just 12 months left on his contract with Juventus and has stated that he would like to Join Pep Guardiola at Manchester City. With Messi gone to PSG, whilst that would be a mouthwatering prospect there is only so much money one club has surely!

So Manchester City are in the running for one f the most famous players of recent times, and one that used to play for fierce rivals Utd before heading to Real Madrid
