Olly Alexander heads the betting for Drama performance at the National television awards this week for his performance as Ritchie Tozer in the Channel 4 Drama It's a Sin.
Betting sites have him ahead of Tennant and a trio of Line of Duty stars to pick up the award.
We find out on Thursday night if he has managed to fend off David Tennant and his portrayal of Dennis Neilsen in Des and the three-handed challenge from Line of Duty with Adrian Dunbar, Martin Compston and Vicky McClure all putting in very fine performances in the latest series of the hit AC Dept show.

88% Chance of a Male winner according to odds
The award for drama performance was previously split into best Male and best Female categories until 2013, since then, it has been a joint category and until 2020, female actors had picked up 4 of the seven awards, Suranne Jones, doing so twice whilst the guys have won three.
Vicky McClure is the only female nominee in 2021 for her role as Kate Fleming in Line of Duty, and 2021 looks like it will redress the balance to 4/4 with The four favourites with the bookmakers male actors.
Betting on the National Television Awards will reach a crescendo in the final days before the show on the 9th of September.
Alexander still favourite to become Next Dr. Who
Despite having come out and stated quite clearly 'NO' to a question as to whether he would be the next Dr Who at the end of Joie Whittakers run in the role, bookmakers still have the It's a Sin and Years & Years star at the head of the betting to be the next Tardis resident.
Perhaps he could have a chat with former Dr David Tennant on awards night for some hints and tips and whether he should consider the role or not.
