The Apprentice returns to our screens on the 6th January. Production of the sixteenth series had been scheduled to begin in Spring 2020, but due to the COVID-19 epidemic's start, the BBC was forced to postpone production.
Rather than launching a completely new series for their Autumn broadcast schedule, the station decided to compile a special compilation series of highlights from prior seasons.
It was revealed in May 2021 that production for the sixteenth season would be delayed until later in the year, with the new series set to premiere on January 6, 2022.
Apprentice 2022 Betting Odds
Bookmakers have priced up the contestant's chances of winning which is a break from the norm given the pre-recorded nature of the show.
Predictably the Sustainability Company Owner is the current favourite, thoughts being an Eco-friendly line could be followed, whilst next best in the betting are Digital Agency and Beauty brand owners, Akshay Thakrar and Amy Anzel

Contestants Background
In the first 6 seasons of the show, firstly contestants were looking to secure a job with one of Lord Sugar's firms. Since series 7 contestants are competing for a $250,00 prize which will be used as an investment in their business.
It's kind of taken on a practical and drawn out Dragons Den pitch these days
