Andrew Garfield is one of the favourites for Best Actor at the Oscars

Andrew Garfield was born in Los Angeles to a British mother and American father and moved to England when he was just three years old to be brought up in Surrey.

This therefore means we can latch on to Garfield and have him as one of our own at the Oscars this year!

Garfield has been critically acclaimed for his role in musical Tick Tick Boom, directed by Lin Manuel Miranda.

The British-American actor plays the role of Jonathan Larson, the American playwright and composer who made famous musical Rent.

Will Smith is the favourite in the Best Actor category for his role in movie King Richard, where he plays the father of tennis superstars Venus and Serena Williams.

Belfast is a contender for the Best Picture award at this years Oscars

Belfast, the coming-of-age movie set in the Northern Ireland capital city, is one of the favourites for the Best Picture award at the Oscars.

The Kenneth Branagh directed film has been praised by film buffs with its release in the UK this month.

Netflix film The Power of the Dog is the favourite in the betting odds for the Best Picture at odds of 13/8.

At odds of 5/2 Belfast sits as third favourite behind West Side Story in the market and if the acclaim still comes then it'll become predominant in the market.
