I've spent over 20 years inside the betting industry. I'll guide you to avoid the hype, ignore the noise, and steer clear of the common pitfalls that catch out everyday punters.

  • Bookies Give No Time to Die an Outside Chance to Hit Top-Grossing Film of the Year
  • Release delays mean $900m grossing figure required to 'Break-Even'
  • Betting Sites favourite Hi, Mom is already at $822m globally
  • Final Daniel Craig appearance may boost figures

The betting on the top worldwide grossing film of 2021 is nearly over and thanks to the multiple delays in the release date for No Time to Die it remains a 14/1 show with betting sites to usurp Hi, Mom and F9: The Fast Saga at the top of the charts.

Movie makers will care little for what betting sites think but are sitting on a huge gamble of a ticket with reports stating with the initial production costs, revenue share with MGM and interest payments on investment totaling $900m, no cheers of success for the final Danial Craig bond movie will be risked until takings hit $1 billion.

Top Worldwide Grossing Film of 2021 Betting Odds

Film Odds Probability
Hi, Mom 7/5 41.67%
F9 9/4 30.77%
Black Widow 9/2 18.18%
Spider-Man No Way Home 9/2 18.18%
Shang Chi & The Legend of the Ten Rings 5/1 16.67%
Eternals 7/1 14.29%
No Time to Die 14/1 7.14%
Free Guy 25/1 3.85%
Suicide Squad 25/1 3.85%

No Time to Die needs to hit $900m in global ticket sales by the end of the year to be the top-grossing worldwide film and land betting odds of 14/1 to do so - Of more concern to movie makers will be the same record-breaking figure that is required just to break even!
Steve Madgwick - Entertainment Betting Specialist - OLBG.com

No Time to Die was the first to be pulled from its original release date thanks to the COVID restrictions and the costs have been mounting up ever since, and with a break-even figure of $900 estimated, it is, without doubt, the most expensive Bond movie ever.

The £200m pound budget has been pushed to over $300m with interest payments, and with a probable 50/50 global box office share with MGM, a further $600m in ticket sales will be required to cover the cost.

As a result, No Time to Die has entered the top 10 most expensive movies ever made

Most Expensive Movies Ever

Movie Year Adjusted for Inflation Cost
Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides 2011 $435m $379m
