Spain–Portugal–Ukraine–Morocco bid currently favourite to host the 2030 FIFA World Cup

Betting is available on who will host the 2030 FIFA World Cup and it looks increasingly likely that it will be the Spain–Portugal–Ukraine–Morocco bid that comes out on top.

The Spain–Portugal–Ukraine–Morocco has increased in size over the past 12 months with the bid originally announced on 7 October as a joint Spain and Portugal bid.

Ukraine then joined the bid in October 2022 before Morocco also joined in March 2023 to get a massive bid across 4 nations and a whole host of different stadiums.

The latest betting odds from Smarkets now say that there's a 5/2 chance of the Spain–Portugal–Ukraine–Morocco winning the vote to host the FIFA World Cup in 7 year's time.

2030 World Cup Host Odds Probability
Spain-Portugal-Ukraine-Morocco 5/2 28.6%

Uruguay–Argentina–Chile–Paraguay the only other contender bidding for the right to host the World Cup

The only other expected bid for the 2030 FIFA World Cup is coming from Uruguay–Argentina–Chile–Paraguay in the second joint bid that will go in for the tournament.

2030's edition of the FIFA World Cup will celebrate the centennial of the first World Cup which was hosted by Uruguay back in 1930 and that could well go in their favour.

The 2026 FIFA World Cup being held in North America may be the main issue with the Uruguay–Argentina–Chile–Paraguay winning with FIFA potentially not wanting to host at two places in close proximity to each other at consecutive events.

United Kingdom–Ireland are expected to host Euro 2028 with announcement set for 10th October

The United Kingdom–Ireland bid for Euro 2028 is expected to be a winning one with the announcement expected for 10th October next month.

Turkey are still as of now going for Euro 2028 but they're expected to put a joint bid in for Euro 2032 which would then clear the path for the United Kingdom–Ireland bid to win.

UEFA will make a decision on October 10 on both Euro 2028 and Euro 2032's hosts and it's expected that if all goes to plan it will be United Kingdom–Ireland 2028 and Turkey-Italy 2032.

Euro 2028 Host Bid Winner Odds Probability
UK & Ireland 1/20 95.2%
Turkey 15/2 11.8%
What the expert says..
The UK & Ireland Euro 2028 host bid is now just 1/20 to win with a 95% chance of doing so according to the latest betting odds after Turkey look set to back out of their bid to join up with Italy to host Euro 2032!
