It's Anyone's to Win in the Great Canadian Baking Show as Zoya wins Star Baker and goes +325 in the Betting

We are just two shows away from the final of the Great Canadian Baking Show betting and we said goodbye to John this week as the line up of Bakers is reduced to the final four. 

Betting is getting very tight at sportsbooks with the first three in the betting less than a sheet of pastry between them, and Lauren who grabbed a technical win for a second consecutive week not out of it as the +500 outsider.

Zoya matched her second place finish in the technical category for a second week but also grabbed the star baker this week, which has seen her odds crash into +325 to win outright in the finale in two weeks time

Lauren took the technical again this week with the Mango Rose tart and Zoya grabbed 2nd in that class along with Star baker with Ice Cream Cone Chimney Cakes and Baklava Gardens of Paradise

Who is Zoya on the Great Canadian Baking Show?

33 year old Zoya is originally from Tanzania but has lived in Canada since childhood, now residing in Edmonton. 

She has a mother for inspiration, tips and tools for her baking, and despite going through medical school and becoming a doctor, sees the Baking show as her biggest challenge, and on a win, the achievement of her life.
