Shintaro Mochizuki vs Karen Khachanov Tips

Karen Khachanov beat Novak Djokovic and Zizou Bergs last week on the grass, and he opened up at Wimbledon with a straight-sets win over the American McDonald. Mochizuki went five sets in round one, and I fancy it's Khachanov who powers his way into round three at SW19.

Out of the last ten matches played by Shintaro, he has won eight of them while dropping only six sets. His record on grass depicts he can pose some challenge to Khachanov, and I fancy an upset here.

Karen Khachanov reached the semi-finals in Halle and has won six matches in seven on grass. I do think after winning round one in straight sets against Mackenzie McDonald that he will win 3-0 in this match also.

This is the first match between these two players, and both players have shown good form. Khachanov might lose a set but will win the match as Mochizuki is also in form.

Mochizuki needed a deciding set to eliminate Zeppieri in the first round. He has won 11 of his 13 matches on grass this season. The Russian player won 3-0 against McDonald in the opening round but has suffered two defeats on grass this season. Last year, he lost 3-2 to Halys in the second round at Wimbledon.

Karen Khachanov won in straight sets in round one against Mackenzie McDonald and Shintaro Mochizuki had to go five sets. The Japanese player lost the first two sets and I do think Khachanov will beat him and it will start with taking the first set.

I will chance Shintaro to move in fast. Overall, the Japanese barely have the general endurance required in these five-setters, and if he has any hope of winning this, he has got to start off strongly.

Mochizuki is in good form with 8 wins in the last 9 matches on grass. I expect Khachanov to win but I don't expect an easy win for him today.

He won each set by two games, and I do think against Mochizuki, who went five sets in the first round, that he will win by a total of more than six. I think -6.50 Games Won will come in for Khachanov.
