How does the NHL Playoffs work?
After the regular season games, just 16 of the 32 teams will advance to the playoffs. The top three teams from each division make up the first twelve teams. The remaining four spots are then given to the next two best-placed teams in each of the Eastern and Western conferences.
The playoffs consist of two brackets, one for each conference as a result the final itself will always be the Western v Eastern conference. Games are played as a best-of-seven series with home-ice advantage in the first two rounds going to the higher-placed team in the regular season.
While in the conference final and the Stanley Cup final, the home-ice advantage goes to the side that had the better regular-season record. If you are looking for more NHL Tips then why not have a look at the Western Conference outright markets?
