Turfway Park Racetrack Guide
Turfway Park racetrack opened in 1959 and is situated in Florence, Northern Kentucky.
Originally known as Latonia Racecourse until 1986, when a change of ownership gave Turfway its current name.
Turfway Park became the first track to install a Polytrack all-weather surface (similar to Lingfield, Kempton & Chelmsford in the U.K.) in 2005, replacing the traditional dirt, which tends to ride deeper.
The circuit is a one-mile oval with quarter-mile and 6.5-furlong chutes; there is no turf track at Turfway.
Turfway Park hosts live track meets from December through to March, and horseplayers can expect to find free Turfway Park picks here from our knowledgeable racing tipsters on Thursdays through to Saturdays.

Turfway Park hosts eleven stakes or handicap races with a purse over $50,000, the most valuable being the Jeff Ruby Steaks, a Grade 3 event worth $200,000 for three-year-olds over nine furlongs.
The Jeff Ruby Steaks is one of six stakes races with a total combined purse of over $600,000 staged on a Saturday in early March, a card which also features the $100,000 Kentucky Cup Classic and the Bourbonette Oaks worth $100,000.
