Fairmount Park Racetrack Guide
The Fairmount Park racetrack is located in Collinsville, Illinois. Opening in 1925, the track hosts thoroughbred racing only after finishing harness racing in 1999.
The season at Fairmount Park runs from April through to September, with racing taking place on Tuesdays and Saturdays.
The racetrack consists of just a dirt course. This course is a one-mile oval with a run-in of just over one and a half furlongs.
The racetrack looks to educate young race fans with a free Junior Jockey Club. Here, they educate children on the history of the course and racing in general.
