Delaware Park Racing Tips

The Delaware Park racetrack is located in Stanton, Delaware. Racing takes place at the track from May through to late September / early October. July is the bumper month that features the Delaware Handicap.

The track includes both dirt and turf racing throughout the year. There is a one-mile oval dirt course that encloses a seven-furlong turf course.

As well as thoroughbred racing, the track is also the only mid-Atlantic track to regularly host Arabian races.

The Delaware Handicap takes place in July and is the feature of the season racing with a $750k purse. A Grade 2 open to fillies and mares, the race is run over one mile and to furlongs.

The Delaware Oaks is also run in July, this race is open to three-year-old fillies and is run over one mile and a half a furlong with a purse of $300k on offer.
