Was running on well there, so a step up to 7f shouldn't be an issue. Did sit up with the pace that day, did by far the best of those that did, with the leader finishing 3L 5th and the next prominent runner 8.5L in 8th. Arguably could be marked up to win sat on the front end as CD there is hard to do so. Would like to see a revert back to previous tactics where he's sat just in touch with leaders, but that's worth chancing at the price.

Amazing Journey was desperately unlucky last time in a hot race at Goodwood and still looks on a nice handicap mark here so can go close.

She was well clear of the rest on her second start, finishing fast but not quite getting to the winner, who has since run very well at Listed level. The selection then won a novice stakes by 6L two weeks ago, just hands and heels from the jockey. The third home was beaten 12L. Good draw and jockey booking for this 7f handicap, and she could prove to be much better than her opening mark of 84.

Before Glorious Goodwood, George Boughey was quoted as saying that he thought this horse could be much better than his mark that day and could indeed be one of the best he has trained. Things didn't work out for the horse on heavy ground that day, and I'm happy to draw a line through that run. The well-bred Blue Point colt's 2nd in a maiden on debut suggested he has plenty of ability, with the winner there since runner-up in a Listed race rated 95 and the third and fifth also franking the form. Definitely worth giving another chance to, in my opinion.
