Race 2 at Worcester today is a Chase Handicap (Class 2) for 4-year-olds and upwards over 4,023 m. The suggested wager is for the straight win on the 8-year-old gelding No Risk With Lou from the Alex Hales yard. He will be ridden by Kielan Woods. This son of No Risk At All is a 4-time winner, with 3 of those wins over this discipline, holding his form well enough to suggest a win is obtainable in this field.

Vintage Fizz is in stall 3. A 9-year-old Sulamani gelding, he has a strong record over this distance with four wins and three places. He ran below form last time over 2m3f at Stratford, making mistakes and was caught out by how the race unfolded. Generally consistent and on a workable mark, he should go closer if he jumps smoothly and the pace suits here.

Arclight has a good strike rate over fences, and she could maintain that with a win in this quite tricky-looking handicap. She's still just a six-year-old, so there is quite likely to be a little more improvement to come. James Bowen is riding at the top of his form at the moment, meaning Arclight will want nothing from the saddle.

Snipe appears to do best after a break and gets that here. Is dropped back in trip, but can run his race here for top connections.

6 times winner over fences who last won at Wetherby in February. Finished 2nd of 29 at Aintree in April on penultimate start and holds an each way chance if in that form today.

He is a winning hurdler and six-time winning chaser. That sole hurdles win came on the back of a 213-day break, so he shouldn't have any problem running fresh today back over the larger obstacles. He has his trip here (he won by 13 lengths in this grade at Perth back in the spring over 20f), and he doesn't mind cut in the ground. He could go well today with Tristan Durrell claiming 3lb.

I'm taking a bit of a punt here in tipping Mount Tempest, who is currently 50/1. This 8-year-old gelding has only had 2 runs for this stable so far, both of them in France. He has run over 2 miles 4 furlongs before with little success. His wins are all over 2 miles, but the step up again should be beneficial now he is older. Brian Hughes in the saddle is eye-catching, and hopefully, he will help Mount Tempest regain his best form today.
